If it is working for someone else, it is easy for us to believe that it will work for us.

Some of us are in the business we are right now because we were enthralled by someone's testimony.

Most of us, if not all of us are blogging here because we heard someone saying something nice about the platform.

I can't blame anyone who takes advantage of people's vulnerability to testimonies to persuade prospects to do business with him. I don't also think that you would be wrong if do so.

Life is a game and the winners are those who have mastered the act and art of taking advantage of every situation.

Infact we have all done it at some point. Don't we all tell people about the good in Hive or a particular community just so that we onboard them? We do that because we know that people are moved by positive testimonies.

The sharing of testimony is about the most powerful marketing tool. We all want to see a proof. We all want to know that it is going to work.

As an investor you would want to invest in a system that brings you good return. As a business person you will like to dedicate your time and energy to an outfit that will yield you profit.

Before venturing into a business we often use people's testimonies as a yardstick which is not entirely bad, but you should know that, testimonies doesn't reveal everything.

It shows the result and not the process. It makes everything looks glittery. It shows the harvest, and not the planting period. It usually promises an eldorado

It doesn't show the sacrifices, the pains, hurts, rejections, hard work, and whatnot which usually precedes success.

Whenever I listen to an ambassador of a brand trying to woo me with some mouth watery testimony, I'm usually quiet, knowing that they are trained to do just that. When such a person is done displaying his or her persuasive skill, I do ask the person to tell me in the simplest term possible, exactly what he did to amass the result he is lauding.

I know that some testimonies are scam, but many are real, yet non tells the whole story.

The devil is in the details.

Success is quite possible in so many business and career. But one needs to understand how a particular industry works.

Apart from the general virtue of consistency, persistence, courage, perseverance, hard work, smart work, and whatnot which is always needed for successfulness, there are qualities that are specific to a particular industry. Every industry has its own specific structure. There is how things work in a particular field which might be different from another.

When venturing into an industry don't only base your decision on others' testimonies, do your own research. Study the structure of that industry, know the specific thing you need to do inorder to succeed, measure your strength and ability to know what you're capable of, which will be of an advantage to you.

Most of the people that are succeeding in a particular industry have an advantage they are leveraging. So don't just jump into it because of their testimony, learn the specifics. If you don't, you might think that you were scammed when you have no result to show despite doing all you know.

I'm not trying to discourage you, but to prevent you from being discouraged when results aren't forthcoming as you anticipated.

Just a comrade thinking that it's wise for us to learn the specifics.
