You may be thinking, what's the power I'm talking about here. How is writing powerful? Well, there is if you would read through.
First of all, what is writing to you? How do you see writing?
From general sense, writing is the presentation of languages with symbols or letters by an author to send a message to its audience or readers.
I don't know about you but anytime I write, I feel like I'm sharing a knowledge no one knows about in letters or symbols that people would understand. This means that writing an article that people don't understand is powerless.
What am I trying to say? You write to speak to people with letters or symbols that they would understand, this is why we have translators for other languages for those who can't understand English.
How is Writing Powerful?
Here comes the question again and I would give an answer to it here. According to a writer called Peterson, Writing is critical thinking. You can't just start to write, you have to think critically to put down something that would benefit your audience.
You may have had this experience, where you had to think for almost three hours to write a blog and in the end, you don't see it worthy to be read by your audience. That's what critical thinking does to your writing skills, you want your blogs to be near perfect if not perfect.
I know of someone whose blogs are exceptional, I always wished to write like her but then she said "They are not really how I want to write them" she sees her blogs as imperfect but I see them as perfect, that's her critical thinking working.
You write, then you go through it thoroughly to check for wrong tenses, wrong paragraphs and so many other possible errors just to be sure your audience won't find difficulty in reading and understanding the message you're trying to pass to them.
One thing you should know is that "If you could think, speak and write then you're powerful". I see writing as a powerful weapon because you have an information someone doesn't, this is why there are forums where you could share them and people see you as a unique person because of what they learnt from your writings.
With a well detailed and coherent write up, you are opened to money and influence which only information can give. Remember, information is power so why won't writing be powerful? Even the most weakest person can be the strongest with his writing abilities.
I remember before I started my writing journey, I had been the quiet type thinking I had nothing to say or suggest in any discussion I found myself but here I am, sharing information around the world through my writing and that has changed my life since then.
As a writer, you're powerful and there is no limit to being a powerful writer. Keep showing that power by thinking critically and writing down words that will add knowledge to your audience and also improve your thinking abilities.
