How outrageous to know that we were rich and did not know it?

How outrageous to know that we were rich and did not know it?

On this occasion I am going to refer to the term outrage expressed in a clear and simple way through the situation that Venezuela is currently living, a country located in South America, whose capital is the city of Caracas, this country is nowadays worldwide news due to the economic, political and social crisis it is going through.

Venezuela's natural resources.

Venezuela is a country traditionally perceived as prosperous with exportable natural resources such as: oil reserves, natural gas, gold, iron among other resources. However, the exploitation of natural resources has generated shortages, poverty, insecurity, deterioration of health, whose leaders have depleted natural resources and become more dependent on oil reserves.

Poor government organization.

It is outrageous to see how a poorly organized government system can lead a rich and prosperous country to ruin where most of the companies are closed and some of them expropriated, many businessmen left the country due to the current economic crisis in Venezuela.

As the crisis in Venezuela increased, the monetary system was devaluated generating a loss of its purchasing power and decreasing its value.
its purchasing power, decreasing its value.

International Trade (https://etta.edu.mx/blog/devalua-una-moneda/) tells us Why is a currency devalued?

"When a currency is devalued, it is not good news for any country. However, understanding this phenomenon in its entirety helps to be able to act correctly, and to prevent its negative effects.
To be able to answer all the above questions, we must first understand the origin of the devaluation phenomenon. To do so, it is necessary to remember that coins and banknotes in themselves have no value. However, they are a tangible representation of a country's wealth.
In this sense, when a currency is devalued, it is as if a country is losing its wealth and international prestige.
Because of currency devaluation and lack of demand for local currency, a greater demand for foreign currency becomes necessary."

It is outrageous to see how basic necessities of the basic basket of goods are sold to the public at foreign currency prices in Venezuela, a country so devastated by the economic crisis where Venezuelans do not even have enough money to buy basic necessities.

Wikipedia (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiperinflaci%C3%B3n) tells us a little about hyperinflation.

"In economics, hyperinflation is a very high inflation, out of control, in which prices increase rapidly at the same time that the currency loses its real value and the population has an evident reduction in its monetary wealth.
The definition used by most economists is "an inflationary cycle with no tendency to equilibrium". A vicious circle originates in which more and more inflation is created with each repetition of the cycle."

Hyperinflation.

Venezuela's minimum wage is basically enough for: a liter of milk, a loaf of bread and a bus fare, this is truly outrageous! Not to mention the ever changing hyperinflation too cruel and inhumane.

I know that Venezuela as well as other countries are living a totalitarian regime, the ruin, hunger, misery and state of abandonment is visible, which have given rise to a state of desertion causing a massive exodus of people who have left Venezuela to other countries looking for a different and productive way of life, adapting to the changes that occur when you are out of the nation.

Today I can express with a phrase that is common in many Venezuelans that says: How rich were we in Venezuela and we did not know it? Seeing so much ruin and misery causes us great indignation and I know that someday it will again be so prosperous and blessed by God.

If today you are in an economically stable country, value it and thank God for living comfortably and pleasantly because that is how Venezuela was and today this country has come to nothing.
