Rainfall is infrequent in Venezuela during the first months of the year. Generally the rainy season starts in May and lasts until October, and sometimes even November, so January and February are quite dry months, although that does not prevent the occasional drizzle.
On one of those rare occasions when it rained, a few days ago, I had the opportunity to take these photos of a large puddle of water in the street located at the entrance of the building where I live with the avenue that is barely visible at the end of the images, and that allows me and my neighbors to communicate with the rest of the city.
It never ceases to amaze me how many images a few centimeters of water in a city puddle can reflect.
No son frecuentes las lluvias en Venezuela durante los primeros meses del año. Generalmente el período de lluvias se inicia en Mayo y se extiende hasta Octubre, y en ocasiones hasta Noviembre, por lo que Enero y Febrero son meses bastante secos aunque eso no impide que caiga alguna llovizna de vez en cuando.
En una de esas raras ocasiones que llovió, unos días atrás, tuve la oportunidad de tomar estas fotos de un gran charco de agua en la calle ubicada a la entrada del edificio donde vivo con la avenida que a duras penas se observa al final de las imágenes, y que me permite a mis vecinos y a mí, comunicarnos con el resto de la ciudad.
No deja de sorprenderme la cantidad de imágenes que puede reflejar unos pocos centímetros de agua en un charco citadino.
