How much should we spend on our lifestyle?

The cost of living is not the same as we spend on our lifestyle.

Don't believe me?

Take a look at your closet. You may wonder seeing, you got some stuff that you probably didn't touch in years. Some are style out, some faded away, some we don't prefer anymore to wear. And it happens to everything, not just in our wardrobes.

These days, people spend Too Much on their lifestyle than ever, I believe.

Maybe it's all because of Social media, maybe we are too insecure in our lifestyle and prefer a fake life, maybe it's the hash impact of capitalism, maybe the reason is altogether.

No matter whatever it is, don't you think there should be a line? We should know clearly how much we should spend on our lifestyle? Or do you think, we should go with the flow?

By lifestyle cost, I mean fashion, beauty, entertainment, expensive food or drink, etc. Not the essential goods like our regular use items of clothing or food.

For me, 20-30% is enough to spend on lifestyle. Spending more on 'non-essential' items will not add 'value for money'. But that's only what I prefer, not anything you also have to follow. But I believe, this is the healthy line, it helps us to not block the path of our own financial growth.

What do you think?
