I am now living with my husband in my mother-in-law's house and my two sisters-in-law. This area is quite close to the main street of the city, so it is easier for me to go everywhere. My sister-in-law Sabrina's school, who is only 11 years old, is very close to the house and these days I have had to pick her up several times. Precisely the walk I bring you today is what I see on my way to Sabrina's school and it is an opportunity to show you part of my new neighborhood. Let's get started! >Hola amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien. Les cuento que ahora me encuentro viviendo con mi esposo en la casa de mi suegra y con mis dos cuñadas. Esta zona es bastante cerca de la calle principal de la ciudad, por lo que me es más fácil ir a todos los lugares. It was a house in very bad condition that they decided to repair and instead of an ordinary wall they decided to make this beautiful work that brings color to the city. I really liked the final result. >Lo primero que vemos es este bonito mosaico a gran escala, que está en el lateral de una casa, me acuerdo cuando lo estaban haciendo, a menudo pasaba por ahí para ver el progreso y como estaba quedando. Era una casa en muy malas condiciones que decidieron reparar y en vez de una pared común y corriente decidieron hacer esta bella obra que aporta color a la ciudad. The park is divided into two parts, as it is crossed by a street. On the left side is a monument to Antonio Guiteras, a figure of Cuban history to whom the park owes its name. On the right side of the park is a church that is always very well maintained. >Al cruzar la calle está este parque, debo decir que la ciudad se caracteriza por sus bellos parques que poco a poco han ido remodelando para que luzcan mejor. El parque está dividido en dos partes, pues está atravesado por una calle. En la parte de la izquierda se encuentra un monumento de Antonio Guiteras, figura de la historia de Cuba al cual el parque debe su nombre. On this street the Galeano bridge is well known, a place that many of us use as a reference when giving directions. Unfortunately, though, the river that runs under the bridge is very dirty and there is garbage around it. >Cuando paso el parque empiezo a bajar por la calle Sol hasta llegar a la calle Galeano, en dónde doblo a la derecha. En esta calle es muy conocido el puente de Galeano, sitio que muchos usamos de referencia a la hora de dar direcciones. What I know is that in this place they sell beer, I remember that my dad used to come here with his friends and from time to time he would take me with him. >Después del puente, a la izquierda vemos el área del bosque, tal vez no lo ven bien, ya que es un lugar que está rodeado por muchos árboles, de ahí su nombre. It was a school activity that motivated us, because it took us out of school to do something different but educational at the same time. >Un poco más adelante tenemos el "Joven Club", hay varios de estos por toda la ciudad, actualmente no se utilizan pero recuerdo que en mi época de estudiante de secundaria los profesores nos traían frecuentemente a este lugar, era un lugar donde nos ponían a ver una película para luego hacer un debate sobre ella.
