Spiritual implications and manifestation of Fasten

Good morning everyone!. Welcome back to the temple of grace and mercy. As we all know that Christian Lent period which involves denying oneself of food and water for forty days culminating into the Easter Sunday the celebration of the death and rise of Jesus Christ and his subsequent ascention into heaven just ended last month. Its significant to also emphasize the Moslem Ramadan fasten which is either 29 or 30 days period of denying oneself food and water culminating into siting of Moon to determine the end of the fasten period ended few days ago.

If God in it's infinite mercy and love could become man which is incarnation then I think that the incarnation of God is a necessity of human nature. If we reap and truly have a Father, then we must be able to clasp His feet in our penitence and to lean on His breast in our weary sorrowfulness. Fasten does bring us into a new experience of seeing God transform Himself into a reality that cannot be denied.

Even if our past fasten experiences are yet to produce forth fruits or results, we need faith asking God when we have unanswered questions. We need to know that God will not look over for our degrees certificate, diplomas or medals but rather He will for SCARSand these scars or pain are our ladders to His STARS.Fasten is a time to commit an unknown future to a known God. Whether we realise it or not, prayer is the encounter of God thirst with ours and God thirst that we May thirst for him!. Fasten and prayer is exhaling the spirit of man and inhaling the spirit of God.

I noticed that any concern too small to be turned into prayer and fasten is too small to be made into a burden..We should determine to tell God always through fasten and not only during Lent and Ramadan period again and again that we are not satisfied!. Enough is Enough! Stretch Forth Your hand of performance and show through it my life that you are God.
