I’ve been avoiding to write on the #pob_wotw for quite a while now owing to the fact that i somewhat experience what we term the writer’s block for a couple of weeks now. It’s that stage where we writers are either too overwhelmed and want to write about a lot of things at the same thing then facing information overload delving into a state of utter confusion and end up not writing at all or a state where the entire muse of writing has disappeared totally and not even knowing what to write about.
However, recently i came across a documentary on insects and how they operate their colony. I remember my father telling me if you want to live a good life and understand the intricacies of life go to the ants and learn. Surprisingly the ants live in so much harmony and in absence of any discord they build an ant hill and considering their sizes one would wonder how they were able to achieve such masterpiece. An ant hill can be likened to the sky scrappers we build all around and all this is possible because they live in unity without malicious intents they build up their colony protecting the queen and at the same time protecting the colony. They live a life of purpose and would die for that purpose.
The most intriguing part of this documentary is the Hive of the bees. Their lifework is the production of the honey we consume but this honey is made in their hive their their country. But creating a colony is not just enough, they have to protect this colony from intruders and oneof the natural enemies of the bees surprisingly isn’t humans but wasps . Wasps likewise exist in colonies but they live of what they raid from the bees. Just one wasp can break into a bee hive that is understaffed but the bees would always fight back.
Like i said earlier, the bees live in harmony with one purpose and whenever the enemy comes to their colony with a malicious intent of stealing their honey and killing the bees to feed other wasps, the frailty of their very existence is exposed.
For we humans on the other hand we have to understand that the whole world in existence is an extremely big #hive and it is further streamlined and divided into smaller hives existing in pockets here and there and in our terms we call them states, countries, islands and what have you. The composition of this hive most times is unity by race, tradition, culture, religion, geographic boundary etc.
This has been the major composition of this extemely big hive and everyone exist with a purpose to protect the interest of their colony since the beginning of time. However, as times goes by bigger colonies or countries as you call it started having interest in other smaller colonies thus leading to wars of wits. The colonization of Africa comes to mind. The invasion of other smaller hives by thr bigger ones is a function of a malicious intent to wreck havoc thereby creating discord and upsetting the balance of the world.
The world have continually towed this line the once peaceful world is now characterized by how strong your colony is with the possession of weapons, finance, manpower and ability to influence others to the extent that it has now become divide and rule. I remember during my history class, one of the proponents of colonization and what made it succeed is the principle of divide and rule. It’s easy to sow discord in the camp of the enemy and defeat becomes easy. Nothing beats unity of purpose.
Flipping through the news headline daily, you find out that the world is in so much disarray with diverse conflicts happening all over the world wether its a community rift, kidnapping, bombings, the taliban, the Isis, the al queda, the Us military, the chinese military or even the russian military. Over 80% of the world news is all about wars or inpending wars or cold wars which makes me often wonder why we can’t just hit the reset button and go back to the time where we all existed without interest or interference in others business.
Something about wars is that it exposes how frail the very existence of we humans are. An able bodied man well built can die from a single gunshot yet it takes 9 months and hours of labour to bring a human being out. Until we all over the world understand that the more we sow discord with malicious intents of getting what belongs to others, we destroy ourselves and at the same time destroy the world.
The term Peace is gradually becoming eroded and would soon be lost to time and forgotten to history just like the lost city of Atlantis. Not until we all come back to the round table and start letting love lead our actions. I know that the world is filled with so much discord and malice dividing us across multiple fronts. The
existence of race, religions, believes and ideology has further divided us . We are all at each other’s throats without holding back. We really need to go to the ants and learn about unity of purpose.
The Proofofbrain blockchain is a reflection of the existence of the world. Some are all up in others business with malicious intents of multiple down votes without reason just to create a discord within the system thus making the existence of the blockchain frail.
I hope i was able to pass my message across as this is my major attempt after my writer’s block episode.
