Modena, the city of the Balsamic Vinegar, the car brand Ferrari and Luciano Pavarotti

Since yesterday I have been in Modena, a fairly important city in the Emilia-Romagna region in Italy. It is not very big, it has around 190,000 inhabitants only, but despite this it has achieved world fame thanks to products created here and characters born in the city.

An example of a product created in this city is Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. This product even bears the name of the city and when it comes to Italian food, having this balsamic vinegar on the table is a must.

I have been able to taste here balsamic vinegar aged for more than 12 years in wooden barrels and I can assure you that it has nothing to do with the one I buy in Germany which is made in an industrial way.

Enzo Ferrari, the creator of the Ferrari car brand, was born in this city. In the middle of the city is the "Enzo Ferrari" museum dedicated to the creator of one of the most famous car brands in the world.

The factory itself is located on the outskirts of the city and is a small citadel. It is quite impressive.

Another character born in the city is the world-renowned tenor Luciano Pavarotti. The municipal theater bears the name of this singer and there is also a museum in the house where he lived.

A statue in the city center, next to the municipal theater, shows the love and respect that the city of Modena feels for him.

I hope this little review I have made about Modena has been interesting. If at some point in your life you pass through Italy, Modena is a city whose visit is not mandatory as it happens with cities like Rome, Venice or Florence, but if you visit it it can be very interesting.

Greetings and until next time!
