This is my entry for this week's Proof of Brain Photo Contest by @friendlymoose with the theme "Green".
The Color of Nature
Green is the color of nature and I love taking photos of nature. When I saw the post (@friendlymoose/pobphotocontest-new-round-green-rqph1k), I immediately had some images in mind.
One of them is of this grasshopper perfectly camouflaged on a citrus tree in our front yard.
Almost Missed it.
Frankly speaking, I almost missed this huge hopper (about 2.5 inches long). It's all surrounded by green leaves and it's green hue is almost the same as that of the leaves from a distance.
This was taken in 2020 at the height of the Covid 19 pandemic. I used my Huawei P30 Lite phone to take this photo.
As it started to move away from me, I noticed this hopper is missing something. Can you see it? Or NOT see it, rather?
In Closing
It's quite sad though that I don't have enough time to go hunt and take photos of these insects in the past few months.
I do hope I will be able to do it again soon.
