Hello I wish you a beautiful week to all the proofofbrain community, I present myself to you with my participation in the contest Word of the Week, created by @calumam and currently managed by @scholaris, the theme of this contest revolves around a different word each week and in this case the word is Spectrum, I brought you my part of the autistic spectrum.
Hola les deseo una hermosa semana a toda la comunidad de proofofbrain, me presento ante ustedes con mi participación en el concurso Word of the Week, creado por @calumam y actualmente manejado por @scholaris, la temática de este concurso gira entorno a una palabra distinta cada semana y en este caso la palabra es Espectro, les traje mi parte del espectro autista.
I am going to be quite direct, I found out I had Pervasive Developmental Disorder when I was 20 years old, that is, I spent a full life, created friendships, and emotional bonds. I overcame my difficulties long before I knew I was a functional autistic and I got to college before I found out I had autism, I had small difficulties in my early childhood, mostly with language, I had no problems at the motor level but if I just learned to read I was cloistered between books and video games.
Voy a ser bastante directo, yo me entere que tenía Trastorno Generalizado de Desarrollo a mis 20 años de edad, es decir, pase una vida completa, cree amistades, lazos afectivos, supere mis dificultades mucho antes de saber que soy un autista funcional y llegue a la universidad antes de darme por enterado de que padecía autismo, tuve pequeñas dificultades en mi infancia temprana, más que todo con el lenguaje, no tuve problemas a nivel motor pero si recién aprendí a leer me enclaustre entre los libros y los vídeo juegos.

Then in my teenage and school years, I had my first encounters with my limits, I realized that I had a hard time being in crowded spaces, but my educational institution left me no choice, and together with my parents and my siblings, with hard work after almost failing in all my grades, I became one of the common averages of that school year, then I kept that level until graduation and improved substantially in the university.
Luego en mi adolescencia y en la etapa escolar tuve mis primeros encontronazos con mis limites, me di cuenta que me costaba en estar en espacios llenos de personas, pero mi institución educativa no me dejaba ninguna opción y junto a mis padres y mis hermanos, con arduo trabajo luego de casi fallar en todas mis notas, pase a ser uno de los promedios comunes de ese año escolar, luego mantuve ese nivel hasta la graduación y lo mejore sustancialmente en la universidad.

But I'm not here to talk about me, I'm here to talk about what the experience is like in my eyes, I have many things I could say about ASD, I certainly start with the reference to the difficulties, but now I'll talk about the benefits it has brought me, from a blessed and very extensive memory to an amazing ability to read and write, after many, many years of focusing on my difficulties and developing those areas until I became excellent at them, when I put the two together I have to say that my creativity is something that even I am impressed with and I will talk about it soon.
Pero no vine a hablar de mí, vine de hablar de lo que es la experiencia desde mis ojos, tengo muchas cosas que podría decir sobre el trastorno del espectro autista(ASD), sin duda inicio con la referencia a las dificultades pero ahora hablare sobre los beneficios que me ha traído, desde una memoria bendecida y muy extensa, hasta una sorprendente habilidad de lectura y escritura tras muchísimos años de enfocarme en mis dificultades y desarrollar esas áreas hasta lograr ser excelente en ellas, al juntar ambas tengo que decir que mi creatividad es algo que hasta a mí me impresiona y pronto hablare de ello.

The creativity that you have when you are part of the autistic spectrum is perhaps the best blessing, that little puzzle piece that I lost while existing, now proves to be an unparalleled benefit on this platform, it helps my memory to take inspiration from how much text, image or video I would have seen in my life and that allows me to create stories, develop a post and work on my written language, plus I passively work on my social skills with interactions.
La creatividad que se tiene cuando se es parte del espectro autista es quizás la mejor bendición, esa pequeña pieza de puzle que perdí al existir, ahora se demuestra como un beneficio sin paragón en esta plataforma, me ayuda mi memoria a tomar inspiración de cuanto texto, imagen o vídeo yo hubiera visto en mi vida y eso me permite crear historias, desarrollar post y trabajar en mi lenguaje escrito, además que pasivamente trabajo en mis habilidades sociales con las interacciones.
While I am now expecting a daughter with my beautiful fiancée Abigail, I still have trouble picking up on things like sarcasm or other language connotations.
