Some thoughts around POB delegations

I read one interesting thread around the POB delegations last week. The post was written by @scooter77.pob and is available for reference here. In this post he proposed a few methods of delegating the POB power in a constructive manner. Which in my opinion is a good idea.

In the initial days, when you are looking to grow the community and have the impact on the stakeholders, i believe that delegations are very helpful as they attract lot more people to contribute. Those with delegations vote the contributors to whom the community account can not reach out directly. In this regards @proofofbrainio chose the right people and we are seeing the positive impact of the same already.

Though there are no reasons for these delegations, i guess he was not the only one who delegated the #pobpower. Here are the top ten accounts which we need to look at too.

NoAccount NameDelegated POB Power
1@proofofbrainio33882
2@amr0085205.378767
3@vempromundo4574.684946
4@scooter774011.586023
5@rxhector3750
6@richardcrill3400
7@leprechaun3000
8@calumam1800
9@espandor1717.543318
10@oldmans1700

All these above numbers are from the analysis from 10th May. Now if we take a look at these accounts you would see that most of these accounts have delegated the POB power to their own .pob accounts for better management of their stakes in the different tokens.
Those who are delegating to their own accounts are not the part of this analysis as this is not really helping the community at large to develop and is excluded from this analysis.

Delegation by @rxhector

The biggest delegator after @proofofbrainio is the account of @rxhector. I am one of the beneficiary of his delegations. His other delegation is made to @harpreetjanda @brofi and @jlordc. His delegations have helped the #pob platform to develop different statistical reports as me and @harpreetjanda publish different reports based on different activities in platform.

Delegations by @richardcrill

This account is of a passive investor. He received a delegation from @proofofbrainio account and he delegated a good amounts to @brofi @brianbeights @lindseylambz and amr008.pob account. This account is again helping the indirect curation through amr008.pob's engagement project whose bot votes on the highest engagement creators.

Delegations by @leprechaun

This is one of the whale accounts and active contributor to this platform. He wrote one of the best guides for beginners to use the #pob platform. He delegated only to @vempromundo.pob account. This again is a manual curation account of @vempromundo. I am sure, there would be very few accounts who would not have received the vote from this account inspite of creating the good content.

Delegations by @calumam

This is again another whale account which is active contributor and he compiles the trending topics and poses the challenges for the newbies to earn some quick POBs. Now this is an interesting piece of analysis as he delegates small amounts to multiple accounts and i believe that this is the real value of delegation.

Delegated toImpact
@celi130She wrote some beautiful pieces of stories on venezuela and also compiled the challenges. She had a very interesting debut on this platform.
@charcoalbuffetThis account participates in many challenges posed by the @calumam account and provides different perspective for the words.
@hranhukThis account is also a regular participant in the word of the week competition by @calumam.
@clicmasterThis accounts is deeply involved with this platform and you will see this name in many posts commenting with some different perspective.
@finguruThis account seems to be one of the most engaging accounts on the leo platform.
@edystringzI found this account doing a bit of evangelism and identifying the plagiarism on this platform.
@juanmiguelsalasThis is yet another active account on Hive.

Those who have received the delegations have done excellent work and though it @proofofbrainio delegated the power randomly, today after two months we all are seeing the good results. Sometimes gut feel is important than scientific methods.

There are few reasons why I felt it is necessary to make this post and one of the significant reason is that I am one of the beneficiaries of the delegation from the account of @proofofbrainio.

Secondly, as we are a new community it is essential to pat the back of those who are working hard and providing support to others. Sometimes even the community owners need it.
