I'm not going to go deeper into pulling the "whys" of EGO, the meaning from the beginning of childhood until now. Even because some posts of mine there at the beginning of POB already talked about it.
The EGO is a subject that goes as well here as anywhere else, but here it is empowered.
But is EGO good or bad? That simple. The answer is: What is good and bad? (Enough, if I'm not going to enter into a deep paradox...)
The EGO is always linked to our pride and the way we think about ourselves. But hey, "isn't it good to think about ourselves more than others and grow in life?" Those motivational phrases sold by any Inexpensive Coach in a prep course telling you not to care what others say, go there and make it happen and various "blah, blah, blah" we're used to. Yea! It's important that we think about ourselves, evolve, go against what others say and don't believe in you. But everything has a catch, and it all depends.
The exaggerated way of exploring the EGO, the lack of common sense, the lack of empathy, sympathy, humility, among many other words I could put here is the problem.
The EGO becomes bad when you always want to win, you want to be the best everyone ever just for the simple reason of PLEASURE to show it. And that has the "whys" that I said I won't go into.
And on the internet, social networks, EGO is much more touched upon. It manifests itself stronger. Because it's much easier to pass as a person you're not, far from everyone, where no one is seeing the real person you are. Many times a person who feels pain in everyday life and wants to transmit it in another way being a "LION" on the social network, being a BOSS MOTHER FUCK that only in his EGO mind he is.
And here at POB and at HIVE in general, we can easily find cases like that. Those who want to benefit from others and become stronger and stronger, but in return will not help anyone, not even a meager vote, will just shout their opinions and only their opinions are important and nobody else's and forget why they got there above needed an entire ecosystem involved of various people to provide this. There's just no gratitude for those kind of people.
Those who are wanting to grow now and using the EGO to their advantage like: WARNING: CONTROLLED TOPIC Vote for yourself 100% but never vote at the same rate for others or help others to grow. There are several other examples but the example of the self-voting is the most emblematic one here and it yields discussions XD

I'm gonna tell you. Wanting to be the best, always looking for the top, surpassing yourself is good. But not when you just want to have the pleasure of it so as not to help others, but just to rub in others' faces that you are the best others can see in your "insignificance" that you think they are.
Less EGO, more POB.

Não vou me aprofundar puxando os "porquês" do EGO, o sentido desde o começo da infância até aqui. Até porque alguns posts meus lá no começo do POB já falava sobre isso.
O EGO é um assunto que cai tão bem aqui como em qualquer outro lugar, mas aqui é potencializado.
Mas o EGO é bom ou ruim? Simples assim. A resposta é: O que é bom e ruim? (Chega, se não vou entrar em um paradoxo profundo...)
O EGO é está sempre atrelado ao nosso orgulho e a maneira de pensarmos em nós mesmo. Mas oras, "não é bom pensar na gente mais do que nos outros e crescer na vida?". Aquelas frases motivacionais vendidas por qualquer Coach Barato de cursinho lhe dizendo para não ligar para o que os outros digam, vai lá e faça acontecer e vários "blá, blá, blá" que estamos acostumados. Sim! É importante pensarmos em nós, evoluir, seguir contra o que os outros dizem e não acreditam em você. Só que tudo tem um porém, e tudo depende.
A maneira exagerada de explorar o EGO, a falta de bom senso a falta de empatia, simpatia, humildade, entre várias outras palavras que eu poderia colocar aqui é o problema.
O EGO se torna ruim quando você quer vencer sempre, quer ser o melhor que todo mundo sempre apenas pelo simples motivo do PRAZER de mostrar isso. E isso tem os "porquês" que eu falei que não vou me aprofundar.
E na internet, redes sociais o EGO é bem mais aflorado. Ele se manifesta mais forte. Pois é muito mais fácil passar ser uma pessoa que você não é, longe de todas, onde ninguém está vendo a verdadeira pessoa que você é. Muitas vezes uma pessoa que sente dor no dia a dia da vida e que quer transmitir isso de outra maneira sendo um "LEÃO" na rede social, sendo um BOSS MOTHER FUCK que apenas em sua mente do EGO ela é.
E aqui no POB e na HIVE em geral podemos encontrar casos assim facilmente. Aquele que quer se beneficiar dos outros e se tornar cada vez mais forte mas em contrapartida não vai ajudar ninguém, nem um mísero voto, vai apenas berrar sua opiniões e apenas as suas opiniões são importantes e de mais ninguém e esquece para que ter chegado lá em cima precisou de todo um ecossistema envolvido de várias pessoas para proporcionar isso. Apenas falta gratidão a esse tipo de pessoas.
Aqueles que estão querendo crescer agora e usando o EGO a seu favor como: AVISO: ASSUNTO POLÊMICO Votar em si mesmo com 100% mas nunca votar na mesma proporção nos outros ou ajudar os outros a crescer. Tem vários outros exemplos mas o exemplo do self voto é o mais emblemático aqui dentro e rende discussões XD

Vou te falar. Querer ser o melhor, buscar sempre o topo, se superar é bom. Mas não quando você só quer ter o prazer disso para não ajudar os outros e sim apenas para esfregar na cara dos outros que você é o melhor que o outros se virem na sua "insignificância" que você acha que eles são.
Menos EGO, mais POB.
