Técnica del modelado para crecer en Hive y en otras redes sociales || Modeling technique to grow on Hive and other social networks

Maybe you didn't see it, didn't understand it. You've been there for 1 week or three months and it may not even have occurred to you. But it did, my dear. If you want to grow in Hive and in any social network, what you must do is modeling.... "Mode what?" - "Side. Modeling, my friends. You don't know what it is? Stick around and I'll explain.

"If you want to be among the best imitate the best and work hard to achieve it. ".

Cormier and Cormier (1994) define modeling as:

The observational learning process where the behavior of one individual or group-the model-acts as a stimulus for the thoughts, attitudes, or behaviors of another individual or group who observes the model's performance."

Using simpler words and paraphrasing what Virginia de la Iglesia says in this article the technique of modeling or observational learning simply states that most human behaviors are learned by observing and imitating.

To model someone is to choose a person who excels in anything, be it a virtue, skill or even a negative trait (cases have been seen) that you would like to learn or develop in yourself, to serve as a model or reference, observe them and then imitate their way of acting and thus acquire that characteristic yourself.

So if among my desires is to grow every day in social networks and earn likes, comments and rewards, the natural thing and first on the list is that you follow the basic rules to make a good post and of course the voting criteria of the community where I will publish. The next thing is to apply the modeling, with whom or with what? With those posts that they have seen fit to leave their vote; because come on, if some curator took the trouble to vote a post, it was for something.

Want to grow on social networks, specifically on Hive? Follow the rules and model (imitate) the posts that have high reward and many comments. In order to model and understand this a little more we must take into account the processes that are involved in modeling that according to what Bandura and Jeffery (1973) distinguish would be the following:

  1. Attention: the observer concentrates on what he/she wants to model.

  2. Retention: the observer proceeds to codify in a symbolic or linguistic way and to make cognitive organization.

  3. Reproduction: the observer reproduces, rehearses or practices the behavior of the model he/she has observed.

  4. Motivation: is to assume as one's own the proposed objectives through the use of modeling techniques.

"Don't strive to surpass others,
concentrate on surpassing yourself a little more each day. "

But how do we model? Simple. Head to a post by some of these users and see how they write, the characteristics of their posts. For example:

  • Is the content original?
  • Do they follow Markdown?
  • How is their spelling and grammar?
  • Do they respect fonts?
  • Do the images used match and enrich the content?
  • Do they use references and citations correctly and not excessively?

After you have checked these and other criteria then pay attention - first process of modeling - and focus on the post(s). Next record in your memory or write down what you see, compare it to what you observe in other posts and determine what they have in common. You then proceed to the third process which is to reproduce what you see. Rehearse it and put it into practice in your next posts. Little by little you will be perfecting your way of doing it and very probably and with a little "luck" you will begin to receive positive votes, both in quantity and quality. As they see quality in your publications, they will consider you to cure your post (and also cure the wounds that you must have in your soul and your fingers from suffering so much for their indifference). Don't lose your motivation and commit yourself to do this. It can be a way to get ahead in the wonderful but sometimes complex and demanding Hive community.

Hive is a social network. Yes, we know that, but we must also understand that it is a business and we must bet all or much of our efforts and money in this cryptocurrency. As a business we must then have the mind of an entrepreneur, and while it is true that we are a community where we must support each other because that way we grow more and make Hive a better place, it is no less true that as entrepreneurs and investors we must work to overcome the competition but in a healthy way, of course; surpassing each other and ourselves every day Hive could become the most important social network of the next decade.

When I have the opportunity to talk about social networking, of course, I also refer to Hive. And on one occasion I could only say that it was a social network of intellectuals for intellectuals, and although this is not technically true, because we know that all the content and users do not have that profile, however it is well known by all that there is a lot of creative talent and many of the artistic expressions have their showcase here: literature, music, photography, painting, graphic design, public speaking, etc. I don't know if you share with me this appreciation.
