What you enjoy when you have a talent or a skill

Hair styling is something I started doing since I was 12years old. And now, people say its a talent which I don't dispute.

It all started from using corn husks hahahahaha cos I didn't have a toy to practice. So I will get the corn, and cut the husks in section to create the kind of style I want. From there, I moved to pleading with my friends to allow me use her hair to learn and hey! That was the peak of it.

I began to make hair for my neighbors and kids, my friends, school mate and Gradually my siblings, though my elder sisters doubted my capabilities, but the gave me some benefits of doubt, that was encouraging actually.

I kept growing with that and started learning different types of style and I was doing great. Talking about how this has helped me financially. oh well! That was the amazing part of it.

When I got to the University, I began to make my own hair, could you believe that? I had to do that because the amount I have to pay for such services is way too much and I was managing the little pocket money my parents gave me. And guess what? That was another peak. My mate in the lodge saw what I did and they loved it. They all picked me as their hairstylist. Their mate in campus also saw it and loved it, that was a plus to me again.

I continued the journey and it was so cool. Everytime someone requested for my services, the joy was always indescribable cos I already know I was gonna get some money afterwards. The money I often receive is what I used to sort out some of my needs and bought study materials till I graduated.
Even after graduation, I still kept it going till I got a job but sadly, I had to put a stop to it because the job is demanding, I barely have time to attend to my clients. I have bigger plans though. Smiling.....

From the pictures are the evidence of what my niece have been enjoying for almost three years. No one touches her hair except me. Hahahahaha....That's fulfilling right? Yeah!

So now, the bottom line is, if you don't have a skill, please learn one. the era we are now especially in Africa, what services can you offer? is always the questions when you don't have the white collar job.

Having a skill is very important and it helps you stand on you own, I'm already planning to go into fashion design and I will 'Wink' I hope you get the encouragement to improve yourself. Limitations hunts don't allow that.

Hope you are having a good day?
Stay safe.
