Recently I hunted for more snails how? There are several methods by which you can hunt for snails and also rear them. So I'm going to give us some hint and tips an hour I became a snail rearer in just two night. It all started that I'm a fan of animals not just animals alone but crops as well so all this gave me the insight and the privilege to I have a very wide open mind and also creativity. There were so many opportunities out there for the young people to become who they I want to become but when two things are lacking it becomes very difficult to pursue their dreams which are hard-work, persistence, consistence, endurance, and more to mention few. All these i mentioned joint together to build a very young farmer. So this was how I hunted for my own snails.

When we were growing up they are was this tradition we do at that time before my dad died. When there is any kind of heavy rainfall even from the evening time till around 8:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m, this is what we do after the rainfall we will start to search our immediate environment and also we will also go to any fresh cut bushes around even at night 11:00pm to 12:00am. Within this one hour period we are going to work very hard in order to bring back big snails inside our different individual bucket. So this is the method I used as well. After a very heavy rainfall I went out at night to pick up snails of different sizes.

What Do I Give My Snails🐌?

I know this may look so different from what we always see in textbooks or online videos. Yes this is why it is called practical application you need to practicalize what you know or what we make your work sounds good and best. When I was picking up some few snails I met a lot of them under okra tree and I was thinking in my mind why? So after I picked them I later went back to the okra tree to fetch few leaves and drop it inside the bucket for the snails to feed on it. After few hours they all ate it. So at that point I concluded to always give my snails okra leaves.

These are some of the pictures I took when fetching the okra leaves from its source.

Although this particular okra tree has a little bit of defect so I purposely went there to fetch it leaves so as for it to regenerate again.

So this is our I fetch it one after the other from its original tree.

Feeding the snails the okra leaves one after the other in order to encourage free movement.

I also sprinkle a little bit of water to make it look so wet and natural.
