Galangal thrives in the high lands and low lands, the galangal that I plant is not galangal kitchen seasonings, but galangal flowers. Galangal flowers, which I rarely encounter because this galangal flowers is for decoration,galangal for spices.
We can find galangal spices in traditional market and modern market, we can find galangal flowers at flower shop. Galangal spices and galangal flowers still in the same cluster.
Whether it is spices or flowers, it will grow in group in one place and will have more stems. Planting one stems can grow to fifteen stems and one stem will produce red flowers.
How to plant galangal flower such as preparing a hole in the ground measuring about about 20x20 in about 20 centimeters. The next step is to sprinkle the hole with two cans of organic fertilizer and then put stem in the hole perpendicularly.
The next step, is watering, because in Indonesia it is currently the rainy season, so there is no need to water it unless it hasn't rained for a few days, it is just been watered.
