As reflected in this backlit photograph of a statue of Francisco de Miranda, a character who was present in this world, to revolutionise through his ideas, a way of seeing the freedom of Latin American nations at that time, and of course in itself the freedom of man. It is not simply to see the photograph, as it can be appreciated from the image, but to reflect on the importance of the legacy of Francisco de Miranda, which makes reference to being catalogued as the most universal American.
Born in the city of Caracas - Venezuela, from Spanish parents, and despite living in a high economic status, both Francisco de Miranda and his family were discriminated against for being part of the highest caste of Spanish families, as he was also discriminated against for supposedly being of Jewish origin. However, none of this was an obstacle to his development as an individual, and he went on to higher education at a very early age at the University of Caracas. He then undertook several trips, which allowed him to get to know various perspectives and realities of the situations in different countries.
Como se refleja en ésta fotografía a contraluz de una estatua de Francisco de Miranda, un personaje que estuvo presente en este mundo, para revolucionar por medio de sus ideas, una manera de ver la libertad de naciones de latinoamerica para esa época, y por supuesto en sí mismo la libertad del hombre. No es simplemente ver la fotografía, por como se puede apreciar de la imagen, sino de reflexionar sobre la importancia del legado de Francisco de Miranda, que hace referencia en ser catalogado como El Americano más Universal.
Nacido en la ciudad de Caracas - Venezuela, procedente de padres españoles, y a pesar de vivir en un estatu económico alto, tanto Francisco de Miranda y su familia, fueron discriminados por ser parte de la casta más alta de las familias españolas, como también se le descriminaba por ser supuestamente de origen judío. Aunque nada de esto fue obstáculo para el desarrollarse como individuo, llegando a tener estudios superiores a muy temprana edad en la Universidad de Caracas. Luego para emprender varios viajes, que le permitiría conocer varias perspectivas y realidades de las situaciones en los diferentes países.
Among the countries where I had a stay, is Spain, specifically in the city of Madrid, a place he loved for its large botanical gardens throughout the city, and was part of the Spanish military, even getting to have several battles, where many valued him for his great dedication and his strategy and intelligence. Perhaps at that time he was already thinking of ideas about the independence of Venezuela from the Spanish crown, but of course that was something he had to keep to himself, because it would mean even death for traction to the crown.
Later he would have other important experiences as a military strategist, spending some time in Russia and also taking part in the French Revolution, including being the only Latin American to be inscribed on the triumphal arch in Paris. He would also be present at the independence of the United States, even meeting George Washington himself. All of this undoubtedly reinforced his motivation and idea of wanting to seek the emancipation of Venezuela.
Entre los países donde tuve una estancia, se encuentra España, específicamente en la ciudad de Madrid, lugar que le encantaba por su grandes jardines botánicos por toda la ciudad, y formó parte de la milicia española, incluso llegando a tener varias batallas, donde muchos lo valoraban por su gran entrega y su estrategia e inteligencia. Quizás ya en ese momento pensaba en ideas sobre la independencia de Venezuela de la corono española, pero por supuesto eso era algo que se lo debía guardar, porque significaría hasta muerte por tracción a la corona.
Luego tendría otras experiencias importantes como estratega militar, estando cierto tiempo en Rusia y también formando parte de la revolución francesa, incluso siendo el único latinoamericano inscrito en el arco del triunfo de París. También haría presencia en la independencia de los Estados Unidos, llegando a conocer hasta el mismo George Washington. Todo esto sin duda le reforzaría la motivación e idea de querer buscar la emancipación de Venezuela.
He began the process of trying to liberate Venezuela from the Spanish empire, obtaining financing from many of his conicides, to recruit soldiers and the necessary supplies and ships for such a feat. In addition to taking advantage of the tension between the English and the Spanish, it would be an opportunity to find some support from the English, even though they had been his enemies when he fought for the independence of the United States, but an opportunity to be diplomatic and try to achieve his objectives.
To see the country where he was born and all of Latin America free from the Spanish empire, even Miranda was already thinking of all the countries in a single unit and force, which he would call Colombia, in honour of Christopher Columbus. Miranda's idea would be the precursor of what became Gran Colombia, without him there might not have been a Simón Bolívar or a José Antonio Paéz, in the early days of Venezuela's independence.
Although history has always been overshadowed by what was supposed to be the achievements of Simón Bolívar, but much earlier there was a Francisco de Miranda, who tried to bring freedom for all to Venezuelan lands, and in the end his idea materialised, although Miranda spent his last days in prison, and was even branded by Bolívar himself as a traitor, with the intention of shooting him. The day of his death arrived in Spain, where he had been sentenced to serve the sentences that the Crown had set out for him in its laws.
Francisco de Miranda, from my point of view, is the true liberator of Venezuela and Latin America, he was a source of inspiration for many writers, philosophers and painters, who have valued all his efforts and work in history. This is how I pay tribute to Miranda with some of these photographs of some statues, that make memory of his presence.
Por lo que iniciaría el proceso de querer liberar a Venezuela del imperio español, obteniendo financiamiento de muchos de sus conicidos, para reclutar soldados e insumos necesarios, y barcos para tal proeza. Además de aprovechar la tensión entre los ingleses y española, sería la oportunidad de encontrar cierto apoyo de los ingleses, a pesar de haber sido enemigos de él cuando lucho en la independencia de Estados Unidos, pero la ocasión de ser diplomático y tratar de cumplir sus objetivos.
Ver el país donde nació y toda latinoameri a libre del imperio español, incluso Miranda ya pensaba en todos los países en una misma unidad y fuerza, que lo llamaría Colombia, por honor a Cristóbal Colón. Idea de Miranda que sería precursora de lo que fue la Gran Colombia, sin él quizás no fuese existido un Simón Bolívar o un José Antonio Paéz, en sus inicios de la independencia de Venezuela.
Aunque siempre la historia ha sido eclipsado por lo que se supone que fueron los logros de Simón Bolívar, pero mucho antes existía un Francisco de Miranda, que trato traer la libertad de todos a tierras venezolanas, que al final todo su idea se materializó, aunque Miranda paso sus ultimos días de vida preso, e incluso siendo tachado por el mismo Bolívar como traidor, llegando a tener la intención de fusilarlo. Hasta llegó el día de su muerto en España, donde había sido entregado a cumplir las condenas que la corono le tenía en sus leyes.
Es Francisco de Miranda, desde mí punto de vista, el verdadero libertador de Venezuela y latinoamerica, fue fuente de inspiración para muchos escritores, filósofos y pintores, que han valorado todo su esfuerzo y trabajo en la historia. Es así como rindo tributo a Miranda con algunos de estas fotografías de algunas estatuas, que hacen memoria de su presencia.
