Once a Palace Now a Museum - Gujari Mahal of Gwalior.

India has many unexplored history places. And Gwalior is one such place which was ruled by the Scindia Dynasty for many years and has many secrets.

Gwalior city has many artifacts and palaces to visit and Gujari Mahal is one such place.

Built by Raja Man Singh Tomar for his wife Mrignayani, who was Gujjar by caste, and that how the palace is named Gujari Mahal

Later on it was converted into Archaelogical Museum, and it is one of the major attraction of Gwalior. It displays numerous artifacts of the region.

The museum has 28 galleries and 9000 artifacts. It has artifacts from the 1st century onwards. Precious stones, jewels, terracotta objects, weapons, artifacts, sculptures, paintings, inscriptions, pottery, etc. are displayed here.

This is my next go to destination to explore some unknown territory of India. Hopefully sooner than later.

Peace
