¡Saludos Hivers! Ante todo, les deseo una venturosa semana. En esta oportunidad, me uno a la iniciativa “Mis 3 Gaitas Favoritas”, creada por @yolimarag, a la cual fui invitada por mi amigo @daniel2001. La cercanía de la época decembrina nos trae aires festivos y dentro de esa atmosfera siempre está presente la música, y en Venezuela la navidad se inunda de Gaita zuliana, un género muy hermoso de nuestro folklore.
Greetings Hivers! First of all, I wish you a happy week. This time, I join the initiative "My 3 Favorite Gaitas", created by @yolimarag, to which I was invited by my friend @daniel2001. The approaching Christmas season brings us festive airs and within that atmosphere is always present the music, and in Venezuela Christmas is flooded with Gaita Zuliana, a very beautiful genre of our folklore.
Este emblemático tema compuesto por el “Monumental” cantante, compositor y maestro Ricardo Aguirre para el álbum Lo Mejor del Monumental, me gusta mucho pues lleva inmersa una gran religiosidad, típico del gentilicio zuliano, especialmente cuando se trata de la veneración a la patrona del Zulia, la Virgen del Rosario de Chiquinquirá a quien se le llama de cariño la Chinita. He notado que es común que en muchas canciones de gaita se pida a la Virgen y a Dios que ayude al pueblo a salir de las dificultades sociales y económicas que los zulianos y los venezolanos en general padecen a causa de malos gobiernos. La música siempre une a las personas, y la gaita une a los zulianos en un solo sentir, y esto incluso supera los límites geográficos, llegando a los corazones de todos los venezolanos.
This emblematic song was composed by the "Monumental" singer, composer and master Ricardo Aguirre for the album Lo Mejor del Monumental. I like it very much because it carries a great religiosity, typical of the people of Zulia, especially when it comes to the veneration of the patron saint of Zulia, the Virgen del Rosario de Chiquinquirá, who is affectionately called La Chinita. I have noticed that it is common in many gaita songs to ask the Virgin and God to help the people out of the social and economic difficulties that the Zulians and Venezuelans in general suffer because of bad governments. Music always unites people, and the gaita unites the people of Zulia in a single sentiment, and this even transcends geographical limits, reaching the hearts of all Venezuelans.
Siempre me han gustado las canciones del folklore venezolano que hablan de las bondades de nuestro país, especialmente de los paisajes y recursos naturales. El tema Orinoco, compuesto por Rafael Rodríguez e interpretado por la agrupación Rincón Morales y Cardenales del Éxito, me viene como anillo al dedo pues describe este majestuoso río de Venezuela, nada más y nada menos que el más grande del país y uno de los más caudalosos del mundo, rodeado por una vegetación fértil, custodiado por las formaciones geológicas más antiguas del planeta como lo son los tepuyes de la Gran Sabana. Cada diciembre disfruto oír esta canción una y otra vez, y me siento infinitamente orgullosa de mi país y sus inigualables bellezas naturales.
I have always liked the songs of Venezuelan folklore that speak of the goodness of our country, especially the landscapes and natural resources. The song Orinoco, composed by Rafael Rodríguez and performed by Rincón Morales and Cardenales del Éxito, fits me like a glove because it describes this majestic river of Venezuela, nothing more and nothing less than the largest in the country and one of the largest in the world, surrounded by fertile vegetation, guarded by the oldest geological formations of the planet such as the tepuis of the Gran Sabana. Every December I enjoy hearing this song over and over again, and I feel infinitely proud of my country and its incomparable natural beauties.
Traigo a este top otro tema icónico de la gaita zuliana, compuesto por Norberto Pirela con música de José Rodríguez. Sentir Zuliano describe todos esos sentimientos de pasan por la mente, alma y corazón de aquellos que nacieron en esa tierra vibrante al occidente del país, y aunque no soy zuliana, por alguna razón esta canción toca mucho mi corazón pues se trata de concebir el amor y la nostalgia de un ser humano por su terruño; es ese sentido de pertenencia que, de alguna manera u otra, todos llevamos innato hacia una cultura, una ideología y un sentir común. Sin lugar a dudas el puente sobre el lago de Maracaibo es muy simbólico, es la puerta de entrada a la cuidad de los marabinos, además es majestuoso e imponente, así que creo que a cualquiera le tocaría las fibras poder tener la oportunidad de transitarlo.
I bring to this top another iconic song of the gaita zuliana, composed by Norberto Pirela with music by José Rodríguez. Sentir Zuliano describes all those feelings that go through the mind, soul and heart of those who were born in that vibrant land in the west of the country, and although I am not from Zulia, for some reason this song touches my heart because it is about conceiving the love and nostalgia of a human being for his homeland; it is that sense of belonging that, in one way or another, we all carry innate towards a culture, an ideology and a common feeling. Undoubtedly the bridge over Lake Maracaibo is very symbolic, it is the gateway to the city of the Marabinos, it is also majestic and imposing, so I think it would touch the fibers of all those who have the opportunity to cross it.
