Wow, I'd never even thought I'd actually catch one.

It weighed about five pounds. I was two feet long. It's whiskers weren't as long as mine, but they were still growing good. I had to use an entire bluegill as bait, and it was a beast to reel in. Meet the Flathead Catfish, a beast of a catfish available across a lot of the United States, but one I had never caught, until now.

For me, all creatures are interesting and worth checking out, so I was pleased to see it on my line. It was a fun catch, and I hope one day that I can land a much bigger one.... perhaps tomorrow. Enjoy the pics.
