Desde hace días estoy trabajando en la reutilización de una toalla que tenía en casa, la cual estaba un poco rota por los años de uso, así que, como ya no nos serviría como toalla en casa, decidí convertirla en pañitos de cocina que hacia falta, perfectos para secarnos las manos al cocinar.

I've been working for days on reusing a towel I had at home, which was a bit torn by the years of use, so, as it would no longer serve as a towel at home, I decided to turn it into kitchen towels, perfect for drying our hands when cooking.
Como dije, lo que hice fue reutilizar una toalla rota. Además, usé unos retazos de tela delgados para adornar los bordes de la toalla.
As I said, what I did was to reuse a torn towel. Also, I used some thin scraps of fabric to embellish the edges of the towel.
Primeramente la toalla la recorté por la zona rota. Y como pude, la dividí en 4 pañitos.
First I cut the towel in the broken area. And as I could, I divided it into 4 small pieces.
Luego escogí la tela que usaría para el borde. Empecé con una de color rosado. Con ayuda de unos alfileres, sostuve la tela y con hilo y aguja comencé a bastear para así guiarme al momento de coser.
Then I chose the fabric I would use for the border. I started with a pink color. With the help of some pins, I held the fabric and with thread and needle I started to baste to guide me when sewing.
No soy una experta cosiendo, más bien estoy aprendiendo. Así que esto me ayudó un poco en la práctica.
I'm not an expert at sewing, I'm more of a learner. So this helped me a bit in practice.
La cinta de color rosado no me alcanzó para los cuatro lados, así que completé los dos restantes con un color lila. Además, en una esquina le coloque un colgante para así poderlos poner mejor en la cocina.
The pink ribbon was not enough for all four sides, so I completed the remaining two with a lilac color. In addition, I put a pendant in one corner so that I could put them in the kitchen.
Así hice con las 3 pañitos restantes, y les coloque a cada uno en el borde una tela diferente.
Una vez que los tenía listos, con la misma tela decidí hacer unos adornitos y pegarlos.
I did the same with the remaining 3 small cloths, and I put a different fabric on the edge of each one.
Once I had them ready, with the same fabric I decided to make some ornaments and glue them on.
Este fue mi resultado final, luego de unos días, nuevos pañitos para secar las manos en la cocina!! De cosas que ya no usaremos, obtuvimos algo que usaremos a diario. Todo artesanal, hecho a mano, en casa con materiales que tenemos cerca, y con la ayuda de mi mamá.

This was my final result, after a few days, new hand towels to dry our hands in the kitchen! From things that we will no longer use, we got something that we will use every day. All handmade, handmade, at home with materials that we have nearby, and with the help of my mom.
