Today I present a photographic series made to the Romanesque church of Santa María de Mesego, located in the town of Mesego, Galicia, Spain.
Full shot of the church where you can see the main door, a stone wall that limits the property, the bell tower and on top of it rests the characteristic symbol of Christianity, a stone cross.
In the next group of images try to capture some main parts of the church with different angles; in one of the shots we can see the arches that support the pair of bells, in the image above you can see a pair of pillars and the base that supports the cross; In the shots on the right, you can see the entire church in profile, and in the lower part, a further shot of the bell tower.
As we can see in the following images, at the top of the door, in the center, a Greek cross appears surrounded by a quadruped and three birds.
Open shot of the facade and the door, where you can see the arches and pillars that adorn the carved wooden door.
On one side of the church, in an inner courtyard you can see a space dedicated to some niches of deceased people, its structures are striking with stone ornaments and their respective epitaphs.
