Hello friends of #hive and #gems, I hope you are very well, today I want to tell you a little about my life when emigrating from Venezuela, I want to share this experience with you so that many of those who are here can understand a little the situation we are going through, I arrived in Colombia In 2019, then months later my parents came leaving my older brother at home, it has been a very hard situation since at that time we were 4 members of the family, my mother, my father, my brother and I, It was really hard to distance ourselves in an unexpected way, at the least expected moment.
No ha sido nada fácil pero lo que más me interesa es decirles que nosotros no somos enemigos de Colombia, no vinimos acá a dañar sus vidas, solamente a mejorar las nuestras. Sé que hay miles de venezolanos acá buscando nuevas posibilidades porque en nuestro país se están acabando y que eso ha implicado muchas cosas para los colombianos. Pero solo piense un segundo, deténgase y mire lo que está haciendo, imagine que desde mañana le toca dejar todo eso, esa casa donde vive, empacar lo que pueda en un par de maletas y salir caminando con sus hijos hacia un rumbo desconocido, ¿Papá, mamá, pero dónde vamos a dormir esta noche? ¿Qué vamos a comer?, preguntarán ellos y usted no sabrá la respuesta, tal vez debajo de un árbol, de un puente, tal vez en el camino alguna familia solidaria le brinde la opción de quedarse una noche en algún espacio que puedan adecuar, o tal vez les toque armar una especie de carpa al lado de cualquier carretera.
It has not been easy at all, but what interests me the most is to tell you that we are not enemies of Colombia, we did not come here to damage your lives, only to improve ours. I know that there are thousands of Venezuelans here looking for new possibilities because in our country they are running out and that has implied many things for Colombians. But just think for a second, stop and look at what you are doing, imagine that from tomorrow you have to leave all that, that house where you live, pack what you can in a couple of suitcases and walk with your children towards an unknown direction, ¿ Dad, Mom, but where are we going to sleep tonight? What are we going to eat? They will ask and you will not know the answer, perhaps under a tree, under a bridge, perhaps along the way some supportive family will offer you the option of staying one night in a space that they can accommodate, or maybe they have to set up a kind of tent next to any road.
Piense que serán muchos días igual, despertarse solo con la certeza de la incertidumbre, de repente, no importará el título universitario, no importará su experiencia, no importará lo que sepa porque se verá pidiendo limosna en la calle u ofreciendo su trabajo por apenas unos pesos con tal de tener algo para comer. ¿Pero saben qué? Aún así, para muchos de mis compatriotas todo eso es mejor que seguir en Venezuela, solo para que se imaginen el tamaño de la crisis de mi país, que amo, que extraño, pero que tristemente nos está cerrando todas las posibilidades, “Ponerse en los zapatos del otro”, se dice muchas veces, nunca será fácil, pero solo quiero invitarlos a que lo hagan de vez en cuando, la solidaridad es lo que debe atarnos más, la vida es frágil, cambiante, da miles de vueltas. Es una ruleta donde no se sabe donde caeremos, Dios los bendiga.
