Una de las cosas que más me encanta es ver series, y gracias a este año he podido ver una gran cantidad de ellas, es por ello, que al hablar con @readmymind sobre mis favoritas, decidimos traerlo a #Hive. Porque no hay nada mejor, que hablar de aquello que más nos gusta.
One of the things I love the most is watching series, and thanks to this year I have been able to see a large number of them, that is why, when talking with @readmymind about my favorites, we decided to bring it to #Hive. Because there is nothing better than talking about what we like the most.
Sí, he visto demasiadas series, pero debo admitir, que antes de decidir ver una busco las críticas o le pregunto a mis amistades cercanas si me la recomiendan. Menos mal, la mayoría han sido muy buenas, lo cual me dificultó escoger tan sólo tres para el reto.
Yes, I have seen too many series, but I must admit that before deciding to watch one I look for criticism or ask my close friends if they recommend it. Luckily, most of them have been very good, which made it difficult for me to choose just three for the challenge.
Antes de hablarles del top 3, debo mencionar la primera serie que vi, The Vampire Diaries, esa será mi favorita para siempre; a pesar que soy fanática hasta muerte, sé que no es la mejor producción de todos los tiempos, pero sí ocupa el espacio más grande en mi corazón, en especial Stefan. Ahora sí, aquí está mi Top 3
Before I talk about the top 3, I must mention the first series I saw, The Vampire Diaries, that will be my favorite forever; even though I'm a fan to death, I know it's not the best production of all time, but it does occupy the biggest space in my heart, especially Stefan. Now yes, here is my Top 3
Game of Thrones
Lo sé, una elección muy popular y a lo mejor predecible, pero para mí no lo era. Ésta serie se estrenó en el año 2011, a pesar de la cantidad de personas que la veían a mÍ no me interesaba ni un poquito, pero justo luego de que se estrenó la última temporada (2019), una amiga me convenció de ver aunque sea la primera temporada, y así fue como en tan sólo dos meses vi las 8 temporadas.
I know, a very popular choice and maybe predictable, but for me, it was not. This series premiered in 2011, despite the number of people who saw it I was not interested one bit, but just after the last season (2019) was released, a friend convinced me to see even the first season, and that's how in just two months I saw all 8 seasons.
Lo que más me gustó:
- La ambientación de la serie es magnífica, en ningún momento te das cuenta que se tratan de efectos o de una simple pantalla verde
- Los personajes, encariñarse con uno es muy difícil en ésta serie porque no suelen durar mucho tiempo jajajaja; lo que más amé fue la fuerza que le dieron a las mujeres en la serie.
Personaje Favorito: desde el primer momento me identifiqué con Arya, me encanta su personalidad, firmeza, pero también su vulnerabilidad.
What I liked most:
- The setting of the series is magnificent, at no time do you realize that it is about effects or a simple green screen
- The characters, getting attached to one is very difficult in this series because they do not usually last long hahaha, what I loved the most was the strength they gave to women in the series.
Favorite Character: From the first moment I identified with Arya, I love her personality, firmness, but also her vulnerability.
Euphoria
Ésta serie de HBO, apenas salió el año pasado y hasta el momento tiene una sola temporada, pero para mí es un éxito. Algunos la catalogan como una simple serie juvenil, pero están muy equivocados; a pesar que en el mercado, hay un sinfín de series repetitivas con el típico drama adolescente, en Euphoria los problemas que muestran son muy reales y bastante crudos.
This HBO series barely came out last year and so far has only one season, but for me, it is a success. Some classify it as a simple youth series, but they are very wrong, although in the market there are endless repetitive series with the typical teenage drama, in Euphoria the problems they show are very real and quite crude.
Lo que más me gustó:
- El hecho de ser una serie con la que te puedas identificar, porque la mayoría de series adolescentes son demasiada fantasía, por ejemplo: la chica nerd que consigue ser novia del más popular, y seamos sinceros eso no ocurre en el 99% de los casos.
En cambio, en Euphoria se enfocan en cómo las redes sociales han afectado a la juventud: problemas de imagen corporal, comparaciones, dificultad para identificarse. - Los personajes, cada uno con una historia muy real y fuerte, presentada en cada capítulo de una forma muy inteligente.
- La parte ARTÍSTICA: el Soundtrack, maquillaje, vestuario, iluminación, son fantásticos, cada uno se complementa y cambia de acuerdo al tinte de la historia, lo cual nos adentra más en lo que allí sucede.
What I liked most:
- The fact of being a series with which you can identify because most adolescent series are too much fantasy, for example: the nerdy girl who manages to be the girlfriend of the most popular, and let's be honest that doesn't happen in 99% of the cases.
Instead, at Euphoria they focus on how social media has affected youth: body image issues, comparisons, difficulty identifying.- The characters, each with a very real and strong story, presented in each chapter in a very intelligent way.
- The ARTISTIC part: the Soundtrack, makeup, costumes, lighting, they are fantastic, each one complements and changes according to the tint of history, which takes us deeper into what happens there.
Chernobyl
Bueno creo que ganó HBO conmigo, jajajajaja, sí, ésta miniserie es de las MEJORES, y se trata de una historia real; cuando me entero de películas, series que son basadas en hechos reales me emociono pero a la vez me siento escéptica, porque suelen engañarme con contenido más ficticio que auténtico.
En este caso no fue así, la investigación de los productores es de aplaudir, en especial cuando se trata de un hecho que políticamente se encubrió para todo el Mundo.
Well I think HBO won with me, hahaha, yes, this miniseries is one of the BEST, and it is a true story; When I find out about movies, series that are based on real events, I get excited but at the same time I feel skeptical because they tend to fool me with more fictional than authentic content.
In this case it was not the case, the investigation of the producers is to be applauded, especially when it comes to a fact that was politically covered up for the whole world.
Lo que más me gustó:
- Ver un resultado tan bien ambientado en la época, todo está como 1986, lo cual se complementa con el vestuario e imagen de la serie.
- Poder descubrir los secretos que el gobierno ocultó por tanto tiempo, es digno de admirar, y menos mal no fue en versión documental, sino en formato de serie.
Sin duda alguna, nunca me imaginé lo desgarrador y desolador que ese desastre nuclear provocó, y mucho menos cómo hasta el día de hoy no se ha podido recuperar la zona.
What I liked most:
- See a result so well set the time, everything is like 1986, which is complemented by the costumes and image of the series.
- Power to discover the secrets that the government hid for so long, is worthy of admiration, and thank goodness it was not in documentary version, but in serial format.
Without a doubt, I never imagined how heartbreaking and devastating that nuclear disaster caused, much less how to this day the area has not been able to recover.

No quiero terminar sin nombrar otras de mis series favoritas, sin ningún orden específico:
- Reign: la historia de la Reina María de Escocia, ME ENCANTA; para los amantes de historia es perfecta.
- Bates Motel: es el mejor thriller psicológico que he visto, las actuaciones son un nivel superior; ver el inicio de Norman Bates es alucinante.

I don't want to end without naming another of my favorite series, in no specific order:
- Reign: the story of Queen Mary of Scots, I LOVE IT; for history lovers it is perfect.
- Bates Motel: is the best psychological thriller I have ever seen, the performances are one level higher; Seeing the start of Norman Bates is mind-blowing.
