FIRST PHYSICAL MEETUP OF THE HIVE-FUNAAB COMMUNITY

Before I begin this post, I want to give a very big shoutout to @startstrings01 who is the convener of Hive-Funaab community. He has been instrumental towards the success of everyone of us in the community. We can't thank you enough for showing us this path.

Yesterday was a very busy day for me and I woke up this morning feeling very. But despite my tiredness this morning, I felt a joy in my heart. Well, I won't say it's because of the meeting, but I definitely know it's one of the reasons why I was happy.
Prior to our physical meetup today, we'd all previously discussed on the best time to convene, and we settled for Wednesday because that was a day when everybody was less busy.

The purpose of the meeting was to address the issues everyone(majority being newbies) was facing on Hive.

The meeting kicked off around 2pm and @starstrings01 took his time to ask each and every one of us were facing while proffering possible solutions.
I'll list some of the questions raised as well as their solutions, for the benefit of those that weren't present.

TIME

The first issue that was raised by @hephzibah was the fact that there's always little or no time to sit down to write posts. He cited the busy schedules we had as students and the endless lecture notes we had to read as one of the many reasons why writing posts is a tad bit difficult.
As a reply, @starstrings01 advised us to prioritize our activities. He said that by prioritizing our activities, we'll definitely find time to write posts consistently.

ONBOARDING NEWBIES

@Annisignature asked about bringing new people onboard as a newbie. In response to that, @starstrings01 advised that we shouldn't bring people on board if we don't have the intention of helping them stay. He said we should try to understand the blockchain well before bringing others.

OTHER THINGS TALKED ABOUT..

About getting inspiration and having more exposure, we were advised that creating DIY contents is more better and that getting more exposure is dependent on how active we are in our respective niches.

After talking for a while, we all got to know ourselves better. I finally got the chance to put a face to some people I've only been chatting with online.
We also had a new intake today in the meeting. His name is Manny @manny-uncharted. A promising prospect we all have to look forward to.

Today we were 13 in number, quite higher than I was expecting. And I know that in a few months, we'd have soared past that figure.
I believe the Hive-Funaab community is something to look forward to and we'll soon become a force to reckon with on the blockchain. It's only a matter of time.
I know this because FUNAAB is a university filled with creative geniuses that can further help in propagating HIVE to Nigeria and the world at large.

And yes, we took more pictures...

Thanks for stopping by, do have a nice day.

@pianokills @heskay @iJohnsen @chosenfingers and everyone else, it was nice meeting you all. See ya around.
