Algunos apoyan y felicitan a los ganadores mientras que otros no podrían estar mas inconformes con el resultado, esta discordia no comenzó en el momento donde se nombro al ganador de la noche, este debate lleva meses ¿Quién de los nominados debería ganar y por que? e incluso antes de ser elegidos ya se entablaban distintas teorías en torno, hechas por los miles de sitios especializados. Hasta por nosotros, los simples espectadores, teníamos nuestras favoritas en este genero y no íbamos a ceder tan fácilmente. Lo que llevo a que el internet ardiera, se crearan bandos a favor y en contra, pero ahora con la suerte echada y todo lo dicho hecho, la duda todavía queda ¿Encanto se merecía ganar?

Como muchos sabrán este film trata de una familia con poderes mágicos, donde la protagonista no fue bendecida con ellos; lo que la lleva a sentirse poco aceptada y menospreciada por el resto, cuyos dones maravillan al pueblo donde viven. A pesar de eso Mirabel siempre optimista y con ganas de demostrar su valor ante su familia, busca la manera de encajar y protegerlos, cuando algo afecta la magia que los favoreció desde un inicio.

La repuesta a la pregunta es, si desde mi punto de vista personal Encanto merecía el premio. Fue una película que me sorprendió, ya que no le tenia muchas expectativas, eso y que me había enterado de gran parte de la trama producto de las redes sociales . la historia enmarca un profundo mensaje: las altas expectativas familiares, el trauma generacional que heredamos de ellos y la necesitad de alcanzar la perfección para no defraudar. Algo que tal vez ya hemos visto. sin embargo, que nos afecta a todos de una u otra manera, lo que la hace a mi parecer fácilmente identificable. Todos en algún momento hemos tenido esa sensación de haber decepcionado a alguien, a nuestra familia, a nuestros amigos e incluso a nosotros mismos; también hemos tenido el sentimiento de no dar mas de nosotros y de fallar en nuestras propias expectativas.

Otra cosa que destaca es la falta de un villano o enemigo principal, al cual culpar de todas las desgracias, muchos pensaran y la abuela Alma ¿ qué es? bueno ella no es una villana, es realmente una victima de su propia situación. Claro ella esta lejos de ser perfecta, cometió muchos errores que sumados a la falta de comunicación, casi llevan a la fragmentación total de la familia. Esta falta de villano es algo que últimamente esta obtando el mundo de Disney para sus grandes producciones, lo que es bien recibido, ya que da un enfoque mas realista, porque en la vida no hay algo como "un villano malvado" sino personas que se ven afectadas por muchos factores sociales, psicológicos y familiares, que terminan generando retos en nuestra vida. Y por ultimo a destacar es la música, Encanto posee grandes canciones que han roto records y sean posicionado entre las favoritas de muchos, algo que no pasaba desde el estreno de Frozen.

Entonces si esto es así ¿ Por que hay tantos detractores con el resultado?

Bueno eso es fácil, se debe a las decisiones anteriores de la academia en esta categoría, la cual tiene como costumbre elegir algún material creado por Disney o Pixar ( que también es propiedad de Walt Disney Company) para premiar con el galardón, ahora hay que sumarle la polémica del 2020 donde Toys Story 4 se impuso injustamente sobre cintas como How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World o Klaus, esto genera un descontento en las personas, una sensación de injusticia y hasta de confabulación internada con los resultados. eso sin contar la frustración y la falta de expectativas al escuchar que el ganador del premio es el mismo sujeto de siempre. En resumen, la gente esta cansada y quiere variar, sorprenderse al ver los resultados y no seguir la misma formula repetitiva, y al ver que no son escuchados simplemente arremeten con la inconformidad y con el deseo de venganza hacia la industria.

En lo personal entiendo muy bien el sentimiento de frustración que esto genera, yo también quiero innovación al momento de escuchar el ganador, que este dé la sensación de ser el correcto y que las voces de todos sean escuchadas. Mas sin embargo, en esta ocasión acepto que tomaron una buena decisión, en lo personal claro esta, Encanto hizo las cosas correctas para ganar y obvio esto no implica que las otras películas fueran malas, todo lo contrario creo que la competencia estuvo reñida, en especial con The Mitchells vs. the Machines, la cual irónicamente era mi preferida para ganar. En mi caso recomiendo todas las nominadas, cada una tiene sus propias fortalezas y mensajes, que nos harán pensar y entretendrán en el proceso.
