[ESP] | || What is my dream travel destination?

Where is that place you've always dreamed of going?

As I mentioned earlier, there are many places I would like to visit at some point in my life. Most of them are outside my country and some are inside it, but the main one on my list is Venice, the floating city.

This is one of the most charming cities in Europe. It would be quite exciting and impressive to ride the famous gondolas on the water canals, while observing the ancient buildings and historic squares found in that city. The presence of water canals instead of streets is something that is quite striking and makes you wonder what life is like in a city so different from canals and bridges.

Why would you like to go?

It's a city with quite an interesting history and without a doubt, something that impresses me quite a bit is its architecture. Venice is built on 118 islands in total and the simple fact that all the architecture is supported on wooden stakes underwater, from the 5th century when its construction began to the present day, gives the city quite a bit of architectural merit.

I have always found it quite curious that the fact that getting around this city is completely different from how you would get around anywhere else in the world. Here the public transportation is not the typical one we already know, as you have the vaporetto that run along the water canals as if they were floating buses.

But its history and the fact that many things in Venice are different from what we are used to are not the only reasons why I would like to visit it. Another reason is its fascinating urban architecture and the picturesque and attractive places to visit, such as Burano Island, well known for its colorful houses.
