Railway Repairs On A Foggy Morning + Goodbye Steam Engine

There was a thick fog in the whole city this morning. It's still foggy out there. I went down to the old railway depot no longer in use in Mytäjäinen.

The same digger. There's apparently a team of two men. I don't know what they were doing. I didn't go nearer so as not to disturb them.

That train runs between St. Petersburg and Helsinki.

Full-blown autumn colors. It's still quite warm. It was 12 C in at seven in the morning.

I walked along a path to the side track where the trains to the stadium stop at. The whole track is used by maybe four trains in the whole year. That's also where the steam engine is parked at. It's a popular place among dog walkers.

To my surprise the steam locomotive was gone!

The maintenance crews had left these machines on the track.

That was soft to walk on.

A lady who was walking her dog told me that the steam locomotive had been towed away on Monday. Fortunately, I have dozens of photos of it.
