I went for a walk on the river Porvoo today. These are the upper reaches of a small river that discharges into the Gulf of Finland about 80 km to the south of there in the medieval town of Porvoo. It was 22 C when I left. A proper summer day.
The same tree as in the previous photo
Colorful backlit leaves are a definite bonus of the time year.
This is the head office of Luhta, a clothing manufacturer founded by a local family. Their production has long since been outsourced to countries with much lower production costs. The head office is and much of the design is done here, I guess. The family is going to build a hotel in the city center that is going to be much taller than any other building. I welcome that because it will allow me to take photos from a completely new angle.
Going over the same bridge as a few photos ago.
The bridge continued. Looked at bit sketchy but was ok.
