En tercer lugar tenemos, la tiroides y paratiroides, la tiroides cumple como función la secreción de hormonas que contribuyen en la regulación del metabolismo además influye en el crecimiento, esta se ubica en el cuello, y la paratiroides se encarga de regular o controlar el nivel calcio que circula en sangre.

Seguimos con las glándulas suprarrenales, estas se ubican en la parte superior del riñón su principal función es regular el equilibrio entre el agua y sodio en el organismo.

Ahora bien por otra parte tenemos el páncreas, que además de ser un órgano perteneciente al sistema digestivo, secreta hormonas encargadas de regular la glucosa en sangre, por ultimo tenemos las gónadas femeninas y masculinas, los ovarios encargadas de la producción de estrógenos y progesteronas, y los testículos encargados de producir testosterona ambas cumplen importantes funciones en el desarrollo sexual.

Cada una de las glándulas secretan hormonas importantes para mantener el equilibrio de la homeostasis corporal.
