Una visita inesperada | An unexpected visit [ESP/ING]

Debido al comienzo de la pandemia el año pasado mis clases universitarias fueron canceladas y yo me vi en obligación de regresar a mi ciudad de origen Cumaná, allí pase varios meses sin salir de casa, por lo que pase mucho tiempo sin saber de mis amistades, cuando las cosas comenzaron a calmarse un poco y había un poco más de flexibilidad que nos permitía salir un poco más, comencé a visitar a una amiga llamada Nicole con la que compartí mis últimos años de bachillersto aunque lamentablemente a los pocos meses de graduarnos, ella se mudó a puerto piritu y no pudimos seguir saliendo juntas, pero a pesar de la distancia no dejamos de ser cercanas, cada que podíamos nos llamabamos y hablábamos por largo rato. Justo en esos meses ella había decidido visitar a su mamá en Cumaná y luego no se pudo ir, por lo que compartimos durante unos meses de nuestra compañía creando nuevos recuerdos plagados de risas y chistes, hasta que a finales de septiembre por motivos de trabajo, se vio en la obligación de regresar a Puerto Piritu, haciendo que no estuviéramos juntas para mí cumpleaños y navidad.

Due to the beginning of the pandemic last year my university classes were cancelled and I was forced to return to my home city of Cumana, there I spent several months without leaving home, so I spent a long time without knowing my friends, when things began to calm down a little and there was a little more flexibility that allowed us to go out a little more, I began to visit a friend named Nicole with whom I shared my last years of high school, but unfortunately a few months after graduating, she moved to Puerto Piritu and we could not continue dating, but despite the distance we did not stop being close, whenever we could we called each other and talked for a long time. Just in those months she had decided to visit her mother in Cumaná and then she could not go, so we shared for a few months of our company creating new memories full of laughter and jokes, until the end of September for work reasons, she was forced to return to Puerto Piritu, so we were not together for my birthday and Christmas.

En la tarde del día de ayer estaba en mi residencia de estudio, en puerto la cruz y mientras hacia mis tareas del hogar recibo una llamada de esta amiga, diciéndome que se encontraba en la zona y si tenía algo que hacer porque ella quería venir a visitarme un rato. Inmediatamente le dije que podía venir y hasta quedarse a dormir, yo no tenía problemas con eso. Le pase mi dirección y rápidamente me dispuse a acomodar el lugar de manera rápida para que mi amiga se sintiera cómoda, al cabo de 30 minutos me llamo diciéndome que se había confundido de calles y que necesitaba una explicación de cómo llegar, la ayude a ubicarse y la verdad no estaba lejos, ni se había confundido, solo que la habían dejado 1 edificio antes.

Yesterday afternoon I was at my studio apartment in Puerto La Cruz and while I was doing my housework I received a call from this friend, telling me that she was in the area and that she had something to do because she wanted to come and visit me for a while. I immediately told her that she could come and even stay over, I had no problem with that. I gave her my address and I quickly set up the place so that my friend would feel comfortable, after 30 minutes she called me saying that she had confused the streets and that she needed an explanation of how to get there, I helped her to find her way and the truth was that it was not far, nor was she confused, only that she had been left 1 building before.

Baje a buscarla y al verla mí perrita corrió hacia ella (supongo que reconoció su olor) y luego entramos al edificio, fue un sentimiento muy lindo reencontrarme con ella, teníamos aproximadamente 7 meses sin vernos y hablábamos muy poco , así que teníamos muchas cosas de las que ponernos al tanto, bajamos Porque yo debía comprar cosas en el supermercado y aprovechamos para comprar galletas y heladitos para merendar mientras pasábamos una tarde agradable llena de risas, abrazos y consejos. Para mí siempre es terapéutico hablar con mis amigas, escuchar sus puntos de vista y sentir su apoyo.

I went down to look for her and when she saw my dog ran towards her (I guess she recognized her smell) and then we went into the building, it was a very nice feeling to meet her again, we had approximately 7 months without seeing each other and we spoke very little, so we had many things to catch up, we went downstairs because I had to buy things at the supermarket and we took the opportunity to buy cookies and ice cream for a snack while we spent a nice afternoon full of laughter, hugs and advice. For me it is always therapeutic to talk to my friends, listen to their points of view and feel their support.

Al caer un poco más la tarde decidimos bajar a pasear a mí perrita para que corriera un poco, así que mientras caminabamos por los alrededores del edificio y disfrutábamos del aire fresco, seguíamos hablando de cosas que nos habían pasado, por un momento llegue a sentir que la noche no nos alcanzaría para todo lo que tenía que decirnos jajaja, con nosotras también estuvo otra amiga llamada Geva que me acompaña diariamente y me llena mi día de alegría (o de estrés, dependiendo del momento) jajajaja.

When the afternoon fell a little more we decided to go down to walk my dog to run a little, so while we walked around the building and enjoyed the fresh air, we kept talking about things that had happened to us, for a moment I felt that the night would not reach us for everything I had to tell us hahaha, with us was also another friend named Geva that accompanies me daily and fills my day with joy (or stress, depending on the moment) hahahaha.

El resto de la noche se puede resumir en comer, hablar mucho, una película y dormir. A pesar de lo simple que pueda sonar estás actividades, hacerlas con nuestros amigos a veces es todo lo que necesitamos para renovar nuestras energías, hoy me siento muy feliz por esta gran sorpresa de mi visita inesperada porque en ocasiones no necesitamos muchas cosas para ser feliz, sino de las personas correctas.

The rest of the night can be summarized as eating, talking a lot, a movie and sleeping. As simple as these activities may sound, doing them with our friends is sometimes all we need to renew our energies, today I feel very happy for this great surprise of my unexpected visit because sometimes we don't need many things to be happy, but the right people.
