Nosotros vivimos en una constante comparación con las personas que nos rodean, y muchas veces esas comparaciones son hacia el lado negativo, que si X persona tiene esta cosa que yo jamás podría tener, o que me va a costar demasiado llegar hasta allí. Siempre vivimos comparándonos con otros, y no saben lo dañino que eso puede llegar a ser.
We live in constant comparison with the people around us, and many times those comparisons are towards the negative side, that if X person has this thing that I could never have, or that it will cost me too much to get there. We always live comparing ourselves with others, and they do not know how harmful that can be.
El problema no solo es que nos comparemos, si no que lo hacemos no en modo de buscar cierta inspiración a ser mejor como esa persona, si no a reprocharnos de forma negativo que no somos así, o que no tenemos lo mismos. Ese creo yo que es el mayor problema, porque nos encasilla en una posición de desventaja y de pobrecitismo en la que nos vemos como una pobre victima a la que la vida no le sonríe igual que otro.
The problem is not only that we compare ourselves, but that we do it not in a way of looking for some inspiration to be better like that person, but to reproach ourselves in a negative way that we are not like that, or that we do not have the same. That I think is the biggest problem, because it pigeonholes us in a position of disadvantage and poverty in which we see ourselves as a poor victim to whom life does not smile the same as another.
Recuerda siempre que todos somos diferentes, si quizá tu vecino tuvo mejores oportunidades, tomo mejores decisiones, velo desde el punto de vista que quieras, pero ten en mente que su situación es muy distinta a la tuya, y que tienes que aprender a navegar a tu propio ritmo, a jugar con las reglas de tu propio juego y no con las de otro.
Always remember that we are all different, if perhaps your neighbor had better opportunities, I make better decisions, see from the point of view you want, but keep in mind that their situation is very different from yours, and that you have to learn to navigate your own rhythm, to play with the rules of your own game and not with those of another.
Tu mayor ejemplo a seguir debes ser tu mismo, la persona a la que mas debes admirar, la que mas debes apoyar, a la que debes buscar de impresionar de superar, de quien mas tienes que sentirte orgulloso, con quien tienes que competir y tratar de superar es contigo mismo. Deja de comparar tu situación con la de otros, y proponte trabajar mas en ti mismo.
Your greatest example to follow must be yourself, the person you must most admire, the one you must support the most, whom you must seek to impress to overcome, who else you have to be proud of, with whom you have to compete and deal to overcome is with yourself. Stop comparing your situation with that of others, and propose to work more on yourself.
