Irene's Landscape | Painting For My Aunt

Hello, Dear Hivers | Hola, Queridos Hivers

Last Friday my aunt Irene came from Chile to visit her family here in Venezuela, and my grandfather and his wife asked me to make her a welcome gift!

I went to their house last Sunday. I saw the white wall and I wanted to paint a beautiful landscape. So, I began with the sky and then made the shape of the mountains.

Being there brought me so many memories of my childhood days in that house. Family meetings, birthday parties, normal visits, etc. It was all so beautiful. I had been a long time since I last went there; and yet, the second I stepped inside, the memories hit me.

Then I did... idk hahaha, a lot of stuff. Maybe the water? I think so. Later I continued with the trees, bushes and grass.

I also made some clouds, the sun, the water highlights and my aunt's name in the middle

Et voilà!

What do you think?
Making landscape for me is about improvising with what one has seen in nature and somehow mixing reality with fantasy... Actually, more than fantasy, the way you see the world. Give it your touch.
I learned all I know about painting landscapes from Bob Ross's "The Joy of Painting" TV show (I see it on YouTube).

Thanks for stopping by!

Stay true to yourself, always with a smile on your face

My mom, me and my aunt... Pictures my grandfather has in his house, Lovely, right?
