Today I want to teach you something new that I learned in this quarantine as you know I like to paint but I wanted to try on a surface that was not paper and surfing the internet I saw people painting on glass I asked my mother if I could do it but she said it could be dangerous since since I could cut myself and things like that, and she told me to investigate other options and I found that it can be painted on transparent CDs or DVDs, so I took an old DVD that no longer worked and instead of throwing them away I gave them a second chance transforming them into transparent discs.

Hoy les quiero enseñar algo nuevo que aprendí en esta cuarentena, como saben me gusta pintar pero quería probar sobre una superficie que no fuese papel y navegando por internet Vi a personas pintando sobre vidrio le pregunté a mi mamá si podía hacerlo pero me dijo que podía ser peligroso ya que me podía cortar y cosas así, así que ella me dijo que indagara otras opciones, luego encontré que se puede pintar sobre CD o DVD transparentes, así que tome un DVD viejo que ya no servían y en vez de botarlos les di una segunda oportunidad transformándolos en discos transparente.

The most important thing is to identify which discs you have if CD or DVD, in these there is a small difference, the CDs are single layer, so making them transparent is much easier, but instead DVDs have 2 layers because they carry a little more than work, and this is the one that I am going to explain to you

Así que hoy les enseñaré como hacerlos:
Lo más importante es identificar cuales discos tienes si CD o DVD, en estos ahí una pequeña diferencia los CD son de una sola capa por los que volverlos transparentes es muchísimo más fácil, pero en cambio los DVD tiene 2 capas por lo que llevan un poquito más de trabajo, y este es el que les voy a explicar.

The materials needed are: CD or DVD, an exact, plastic tape, cotton, and isopropyl alcohol

Los materiales que se necesitan son: CD o DVD, un exacto, cinta plástica, algodón, y alcohol isopropílico

Now let's get started:
Step 1. Taking the disc, with the exact one to locate the middle level of the DVD, we have to remove the exact one a bit and very carefully we are going to insert it little by little until the 2 layers of the DVD are detached

Ahora empecemos:
Paso 1. Tomando el disco, con el exacto localizar el nivel medio del DVD, tenemos que sacar un poco el exacto y con mucho cuidado vamos meterlo poco a poco hasta que se despegue las 2 capas del DVD

Step 2. After we have divided the disc, you will see a part that has the film, which is the glossy part, now you look for the plastic tape and it sticks on top of the film and exerts a little pressure, in a few seconds the tape, and this takes away the part of the film and the transparent part will remain and so we continue to do it throughout the disc, removing all the film and leaving it transparent.

Paso 2. Después que tenemos dividido el disco va ver una parte que tiene la película que es la parte brillosa, ahora se busca la cinta plástica y se pega encima de la película y le ejerce un poco de presión, en unos segundos se desprende la cinta, y está se lleva la parte de la película y va a quedar la parte transparente y así seguimos haciéndolo en todo el disco quitando toda la película y dejándolo transparente.

Step 3. After we start all the tapes will be in a purple or green color, so we will grab a cotton with isopropyl alcohol and we will pass it all over the album cleaning it by removing the purple color that remains by the film leaving it totally in transparent

Paso 3. Después que arrancamos todas las cintas va a quedar en un color morado o verde, así que agarraremos un algodón con alcohol isopropílico y lo pasaremos por todo el disco limpiándolo quitándole el color morado que queda por la película dejándolo totalmente en transparente.

Step 2 and 3 is also made on the CD only that instead of dividing it what one does is nothing else to paste it directly on the CD the plastic tape and it is desired since it is like a single layer we saved the time of dividing it.

El Paso 2 y 3 se hace también en el CD sólo que en vez de dividirlo lo que uno hace es nada más pegarlo directamente sobre el CD la cinta plástica y se desprende ya que es como una sola capa nos ahorramos el tiempo de dividirlo.

Having the album totally clean and transparent will proceed to make the sketch and paint.
