Hello everybody and welcome! Today, I’m going to talk about who I am. Let me introduce myself.
I am Luis Mario, a 19-year-old young Venezuelan, a Computer Engineering student at the “Universidad Tecnológica del Centro” (UNITEC). Passionate about technology, programming and learning new things.
¡Hola a todos y bienvenidos! El día de hoy, me toca presentarme ante ustedes.
Yo soy Luis Mario, un joven venezolano de 19 años, estudiante de Ingeniería en Informática en la Universidad Tecnológica del Centro (UNITEC). Apasionado por la tecnología, la programación y el aprendizaje de cosas nuevas.
Since I was little I was a very energetic and uncontrollable child. When I entered school, everything was a new world and what helped me to obtain that passion for studies in the first place was competition with my classmates, then it became that thirst for knowledge. I have always liked participating and I am not afraid to speak in public.
Desde pequeño fui un niño muy enérgico e incontrolable. Cuando entré en la escuela todo fue un nuevo mundo y lo que me ayudó a obtener esa pasión por los estudios en primer lugar fue la competencia con mis compañeros, luego se convirtió en esa sed de conocimiento. Siempre me ha gustado participar y no me da miedo hablar en público.
My biggest dream since I was a kid was to be an inventor, to create new things. One of the films that most inspired me to be who I am was The Family of the Future - “Meet the Robinsons”, where its protagonist Lewis, an ingenious inventor, was able to forget the past and look to the future, managing to form his ideal future with every action he performed, together with his family. Although many things influenced the formation of my personality, it is difficult to mention everything.
Mi mayor sueño desde chico fue ser un inventor, crear cosas nuevas. Una de las películas que más me inspiró a ser quién soy fue La familia del futuro – “Meet the Robinsons”, donde su protagonista Lewis, un ingenioso inventor, fue capaz de olvidar el pasado y ver hacia el futuro, logrando formar su futuro ideal con cada acción que realizaba, junto a su familia. Aunque muchas cosas influyeron en la formación de mi personalidad, es difícil mencionarlo todo.
I was fortunate to go on several vacation plans where I went camping to forest, went fishing, climbed waterfalls, swan in our beautiful beaches, lakes, etc. These trips fostered in me that sense of adventure, appreciation of nature and the beauty of our surroundings.
Fui afortunado de ir a varios planes vacacionales en dónde fui a acampar en el bsoque, de pesca, escalé cascadas (o mejor dicho, bajé), nadé en nuestras hermosas playas, lagos, etc. Estos viajes fomentaron en mí ese sentido aventurero, de apreciación de la naturaleza y la belleza de nuestro entorno.
I really like mathematics and I took advantage of that gift by giving classes, teaching others. Thanks to this, I dedicated myself to be a trainer at the Technological University of the Center, teaching mathematics classes with the aim that my students do not see this subject as something complicated but rather interesting and fun.

Me gustan mucho las matemáticas y aproveché ese don dando clases, enseñando a los demás, gracias a esto, me dediqué a ser preparador en la Universidad Tecnológica del Centro, dictando clases de matemáticas con el objetivo de que mis alumnos no vean esta materia como algo complicado sino como algo interesante y divertido.
Once when I was younger I started making video games for fun with a program called Game Maker. At that time, I didn't know anything about programming and I didn't even know I was already doing it. Later, I used the Unity game engine, which gave me an overview of what it means to create a videogame, which in addition to being fun, you can give a message through them.
Una vez, cuando era más pequeño me puse a crear videojuegos por diversión, con un programa llamado Game Maker. En esos momentos no sabía nada de programación y ni me enteré que ya lo estaba haciendo. Posteriormente utilice el motor de videojuegos Unity, que amplió mi panorama de los que significa crear un videojuego, que además de divertir, a través de ellos puedas dar un mensaje.
One of the games I created was a 2D platformer called "Adventure of Chaos", I also created a game called "Ping-Pong Extreme". A modern adaptation of the old game PONG. And although my games were simple or had some errors, I liked the process and I am still learning and getting inspired from the games that I am playing. My favorite games are Crash Bandicoot, Mario Bros and Sonic the Hedgehog. Games are amazing!
Uno de los juegos que creé fue uno de plataformas 2D llamado “Adventure of Chaos”, también creé un juego llamado “Ping Pong Extreme”. Una adaptación moderna del juego PONG. Y aunque mis juegos fueron simples o tenían algunos errores, me gustó el proceso y aún sigo aprendiendo e inspirándome de los juegos que voy jugando. Mis juegos favoritos son los de Crash Bandicoot, Mario Bros y Sonic the Hedgehog. ¡Los juegos son geniales!
During these years, I have been learning about programming, Web Development and I am fascinated by the subject of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, I would like to dedicate myself to the latter professionally, creating models and programs that facilitate our daily tasks. I also learned to use the Python, Java, C# and JavaScript languages.
Programming in its depth seems like magic. If you can represent it in code or as a series of organized steps you can make it happen.
Durante estos años, he estado aprendiendo sobre programación, Desarrollo Web y me fascina el tema de la Inteligencia Artificial y el aprendizaje automático, me gustaría dedicarme a esto último profesionalmente, creando modelos y programas que faciliten nuestras tareas diarias. También aprendí a utilizar los lenguajes Python, Java, C# y Javascript.
La programación en su profundidad parece magia. Si logras representarlo en código o como una serie de pasos organizados puedes hacerlo realidad.
At the beginning of my adolescence I enrolled in Salsa Casino classes, to learn to dance, something that at that time I still didn’t know at all. This allowed me to open up more, be a little more outgoing, establish interpersonal relationships, and cooperate. Dancing is a very fun and quite healthy activity, it helps to release stress. Being face to face with your partner and letting yourself be carried away by the sound of music is a very pleasant feeling.
A inicios de mi adolescencia me inscribí en clases de Salsa Casino, para aprender a bailar, cosa que en esos momentos aún no sabía para nada. Esto me permitió abrirme más, ser un poco más extrovertido, establecer relaciones interpersonales, a cooperar. Bailar es una actividad muy divertida y bastante saludable, ayuda a liberar el estrés. Estar cara a cara con tu pareja y dejarte llevar por el sonido de la música es una sensación muy agradable.
Precisely, I was introduced to the internet in the era of bloggers, this motivated me to create my own blog in Wordpress, initially called: This Mysterious World, where I wrote very varied content. This experience introduced me to the use of design and editing tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Inkscape, Canva, etc.), skills that would help me a lot in the future.
Justamente, yo me introduje al internet en la era de los bloggers, esto me motivo a crear mi propio blog en Wordpress, inicialmente llamado “This Mysterious World”, donde escribía contenido muy variado. Esta experiencia me adentró en el uso de herramientas de diseño y de edición (Photoshop, Illustrator, Inkscape, Canva, etc.), destrezas que me servirían en el futuro.
Currently I have a personal blog called "My Entertainment Place", made a Blogger, where I write about series, books, movies, programming and topics to think about. A better elaborated blog, the result of the experience gathered over the years.
Actualmente tengo un blog personal llamado “My Entertainment Place”, hecho Blogger, donde escribo sobre series, libros, películas, programación y temas para reflexionar. Un blog mejor elaborado, fruto de la experiencia recolectada a lo largo de estos años.
I really like talking about Marvel movies, movies of personal growth and animated series. For me they are a mechanism that encourages our creativity and allows us to withdraw for a moment from our reality.
With this blog, in addition to entertaining and informing, I like to create that content that does not appear easily on the internet, like those tasks that they send us and we don't find much material about it.
Me gusta mucho hablar de las películas de Marvel, aquellas de crecimiento personal y de series animadas. Para mí son un mecanismo que fomentan nuestra creatividad y nos permiten apartarnos por un momento de nuestra realidad.
Con este blog además de entretener e informar, me gusta crear ese contenido que no aparece con facilidad en internet, como esas tareas que nos mandan y no encontramos mucho material al respecto.
The university and its activities have taught me to be multidisciplinary, to know a little about everything and what we know how to do, let's do it with quality. One of them was learning a new language, in addition to English, so right now I am learning Russian.
La universidad y sus actividades me han enseñado a ser multidisciplinario, saber un poco de todo y lo que sepamos hacer, lo hagamos con calidad. Una de ellas fue aprender un nuevo idioma, además del inglés, así que en estos momentos estoy aprendiendo ruso.
One of my goals is to graduate early from my degree and work doing what I love. The most important thing is to never stop learning, always be supportive and open ourselves to new opportunities, create true bonds of friendship and enjoy our journey throughout our lives.
Una de mis metas es graduarme pronto de mi carrera y trabajar haciendo lo que me gusta. Lo más importante es nunca parar de aprender, ser siempre solidario y abrirnos a nuevas oportunidades, crear lazos verdaderos de amista y disfrutar de nuestro trayecto a lo largo de nuestras vidas.
I want to learn a lot in this community and create strong relationships with you all. Learn more from blockchain, and inspire me to write better.
