En esta oportunidad quise unirme a la iniciativa traída por @mariblue, para hablar sobre nuestra carrera. Estudio desde hace 4 años y aunque por cosas de la vida aun no tengo ningún título, me encanta lo que estoy estudiando. Siempre me ha gustado estudiar, cuando termine el bachillerato estaba muy emocionada de entrar a la universidad porque quería aprender lo más pronto posible, desde entonces siempre me encuentro feliz cuando veo las materias más importantes de la carrera que estoy estudiando.
This time I wanted to join the initiative brought by @mariblue, to talk about our career. I've been studying for 4 years now and even though I don't have a degree yet, I love what I'm studying. I have always liked to study, when I finished high school I was very excited to enter the university because I wanted to learn as soon as possible, since then I am always happy when I see the most important subjects of the career I am studying.
- ¿En que consiste la carrera?
Inicialmente estaba estudiando Ingeniería en Informática, y aunque formalmente no la he dejado, actualmente mi atención va hacia mi segunda carrera: Mantenimiento de Sistemas Informáticos. Básicamente engloba mucho de programación, conocimiento en sistemas operativos, procesamiento de datos, tecnologías web, un poco de redes, mantenimientos y muchas cosas más.
- ¿Siempre llamó tu atención?
En parte sí, mi principal objetivo desde hace muchos años era estudiar ingeniería en informática, lo empecé pero lamentablemente no he podido terminarlo. Pensé en un momento en la ingeniería de sistemas, pero informática era una oferta mucho más atractiva para mi. Para quedarme en la misma rama decidí estudiar este TSU en mantenimiento de sistemas y me gusta mucho también.
- What does the career consist of?
Initially I was studying Computer Engineering, and although formally I have not left it, currently my attention is going towards my second career: Computer Systems Maintenance. Basically it includes a lot of programming, knowledge in operating systems, data processing, web technologies, a little bit of networks, maintenance and many other things.
- Did it always caught your attention?
Partly yes, my main goal for many years was to study computer engineering, I started it but unfortunately I have not been able to finish it. At one point I thought about systems engineering, but computer science was a much more attractive offer for me. To stay in the same branch I decided to study this TSU in systems maintenance and I like it a lot too.
- Si hubieras estudiado lo que querías de niño ¿Qué sería?
Mi mamá dice que yo quería ser Cocinera, no estoy segura porque jajajajaja, supongo porque me gustaba comer.
- ¿Alguien cercano a ti estudia la carrera?
Sí, mi mamá y mi papá son licenciados en informática, así que estoy siempre estuvo en mi vida, aunque nunca me lo impusieron ya que querían que estudiara lo que yo quisiera.
- ¿Tus padres te apoyan?
Siempre, ellos me apoyan en todas mis locuras jajajaja mientras sean sanas. No quieren que deje de estudiar ya que tener un titulo es importante, así que en parte lo hago por ellos.
- If you had studied what you wanted as a child, what would it be?
My mom says I wanted to be a cook, I'm not sure why hahahahaha, I guess because I liked to eat.
- Is anyone close to you studying the career?
Yes, my mom and dad have a degree in computer science, so it was always in my life, although they never imposed it on me since they wanted me to study whatever I wanted.
- Are your parents supportive?
Always, they support me in all my crazy things hahaha as long as they are healthy. They don't want me to stop studying since having a degree is important, so I do it partly for them.
Hubo un momento de mi vida en donde me sentí demasiado decepcionada de los estudios a nivel general, poco a poco volví a sentirme más animada, aunque mantengo mi manera de pensar sobre que estudiar en Venezuela es demasiado caótico, hace algunas semanas compartí como me sentía con respecto a la universidad donde estaba estudiando antes. Actualmente estoy contenta con mi segunda carrera, soy básicamente mi propia maestra, busco la información, busco la explicación y realizo mis actividades, ya que la universidad donde estudio a distancia funciona de esta manera, no me molesta y espero tener mi titulo en algún futuro. There was a moment in my life where I felt too disappointed with my studies in general, little by little I felt more encouraged again, although I keep my way of thinking that studying in Venezuela is too chaotic, a few weeks ago I shared how I felt about the university where I was studying before. Currently I am happy with my second career, I am basically my own teacher, I look for the information, I look for the explanation and I do my activities, since the university where I study at a distance works this way, it does not bother me and I hope to have my degree in the future.
