Se encuentra ubicada en la Cordillera Andina al Noroeste del País, por lo que es una zona montañosa y de un clima frío. Su llegada desde mi estado (Aragua) la realizamos en carretera por la vía Transandina. Repleto de hermosos paisajes propios para unas tarjetas postales.

Fueron muchos pueblos los visitado durante el camino, una de las zonas que más me encanto fue la Hermosa y Mágica Laguna Mucubaji, ubicada en el Parque Nacional Sierra Nevada.Cuyo nombre se debe a los pobladores indígenas de la zona. Al mirarla se siente la magia y la paz, parece un espejo.
Many towns were visited along the way, one of the areas that I loved the most was the Beautiful and Magical Laguna Mucubaji, located in the Sierra Nevada National Park, whose name is due to the indigenous inhabitants of the area. when looking at it you feel magic and peace, it looks like a mirror.
Durante el recorrido es hermosa la variedad de flora característica de la zona fría, donde no deleitamos tomando unas hermosas fotografías que quedaron geniales.

Uno de los atractivos turísticos de Mérida, es el Teleférico Mukumbarí el cual es el mas alto del mundo y el segundo mas largo. Fue una experiencia inolvidable a medida que subimos hacia el Pico Bolívar que es la ultima estación.

Era fascinante ver la ciudad abajo, entre las montañas lagos y ríos. En ocasiones cae nieve y se puede ver toda la montaña blanca.
