Para muchos el 14 de febrero es una fecha especial porque celebramos el día del amor y la amistad, recordamos con mucho amor y demostramos ese mismo amor a través de planificaciones, regalos, serenatas o algún gesto. ¡Que viva el amor! Mientras que el amor no ha tocado mi puerta yo me concentro en el cumpleaños de la persona que me trajo al mundo, mi mamá.
For many, February 14th is a special date because we celebrate the day of love and friendship, we remember with much love and we show that same love through planning, gifts, serenades or some gesture. Long live love! While love hasn't knocked on my door I am focusing on the birthday of the person who brought me into the world, my mom.
Este año en particular quería celebrar la vida de mi mamá de una forma muy diferente; quería llevarla a un local a comer hamburguesas, torta y licor, pero ese plan no se llevó a cabo. Desde nuestras posibilidades pudimos mandarle a hacer una torta y gracias a Dios también le hicimos una paella mar y tierra que por cierto ¡Estaba buenísima! También nos acompañaron unos amigos míos, unos vecinos y compartimos con mi mamá con mucha alegría y cariño.
This year in particular I wanted to celebrate my mom's life in a very different way; I wanted to take her to a place to eat hamburgers, cake and liquor, but that plan did not come to fruition. From our possibilities we were able to send her to make a cake and thank God we also made her a paella, which by the way was delicious! We were also accompanied by some friends of mine, some neighbors and we shared with my mom with great joy and affection.
Para nadie es un secreto que mi familia es de poco hacer grandes celebraciones, cosa que no nos ha afectado de alguna manera; sin embargo si quisiera que mi familia tenga más apertura a celebrar con alegría y compartir esa alegría con otras personas. ¿Ustedes que opinan al respecto?
It is no secret that my family is not a big celebration family, something that has not affected us in any way; however, I would like my family to be more open to celebrate with joy and share that joy with other people. What do you think about it?
Por cierto, este año también fue diferente porque mi hermano ya está grande y pudo ayudarme a planificar toda la celebración de cumpleaños de mi mamá ¡Estoy muy orgullosa! By the way, this year was also different because my brother is all grown up now and he was able to help me plan my mom's entire birthday celebration.
