For an afternoon snack, I prepared one of my mother's favorite dishes, some rich baked sweet potato crowns, stuffed with smoked ham, this dish is ideal for a rich, inexpensive and easy to prepare meal.
Para merendar en la tarde preparé uno de los platillos preferidos de mi madre, unas ricas coronas horneadas de batata, rellenas de jamón ahumado, este plato es ideal para una comida rica, económica y fácil de preparar.
They will need the following ingredients:
Necesitarán los siguientes ingredientes:
• 1 large sweet potato.
• 1/3 of corn flour.
• 1 pinch of salt and pepper to taste. • Butter.
• Smoked ham.
• 1 egg.
• 1 batata grande.
• 1/3 de harina de maíz.
• 1 pizca de sal y pimienta al gusto.
• Mantequilla.
• Jamón ahumado.
• 1 huevo.
First, we cut the sweet potato and boil until soft.
Primero, cortamos la batata y hervimos hasta ablandar.
Next, we remove the crust of the sweet potato and crush very well.
Seguidamente, retiramos la corteza de la batata y trituramos muy bien.
In a bowl we add the mashed sweet potato, butter, salt and pepper.
En un recipiente agregamos la batata triturada, mantequilla, sal y pimienta.
Then, we pour the egg and the cornmeal, knead until incorporated and form a dough.
Luego, vertimos el huevo y la harina de maíz, amasamos hasta incorporar y formar una masa.
We cut the sweet potato dough into portions and form balls.
Cortamos en porciones la masa de batata y formamos bolas.
In a greased tray, flattened the balls and with the help of the bottom of a glass we open a cavity to give it the shape of a crown.
En una bandeja engrasada, aplanados las bolas y con ayuda del fondo de un vaso abrimos una cavidad para darle forma de corona.
Finely cut the ham, and add the sweet potato crown with a few pieces of butter inside.
Cortamos finamente el jamón, y agregamos dentro la corona de batata con unos trozos de mantequilla.
With a fork we mark the edges of the crown and take to the oven for 30 minutes at 180C.
Con un tenedor marcamos los bordes de la corona y llevamos al horno por 30 minutos a 180C.
As that time elapses, we can enjoy this exquisite dish, simply spectacular !!! ... I hope you enjoy it ... you love them !!!
