Hace un par de días viendo videos en Youtube de comida 🤣🤣 a mi hermana @hannymarchan se le ocurrió la idea de hacer una publicación en forma de reto donde hiciera mis tres comidas del día solo gastando 1$ en cada una de ellas, para nadie es un secreto que las comidas rápidas de 1$ se han popularizado en los últimos tiempos y que podemos encontrar unas mejores de otras, para esta publicación fui a dos sitios que ya conocía (desayuno y almuerzo) y uno totalmente nuevo (cena) tratando de esta forma de no repetir comidas, en este post les contare que tal me fue y si logre mi objetivo.
A couple of days ago watching videos on Youtube of food 🤣🤣 my sister @hannymarchan came up with the idea of making a publication in the form of challenge where I made my three meals of the day only spending 1$ in each of them, for no one is a secret that the 1$ fast foods have become popular in recent times and that we can find some better than others, for this publication I went to two places I already knew (breakfast and lunch) and a totally new (dinner) trying in this way not to repeat meals, in this post I will tell you how it went and if I achieved my goal.
Comenzamos con el desayuno, esta comida realmente no es difícil de conseguir por este precio así que me fui por la vieja confiable de los desayunos y me compre un combo de empanadas. El lugar a donde fui se llama Café Madeira, aquí te ofrecen un combo de 2 empanadas criolla o chilenas + 1 refresco por el precio de 1$, en este caso y como ven en la foto yo me fui por la opción de las empanadas chilenas y les puedo decir que son realmente riquísimas, utilizan un queso delicioso y la masa se siente súper fresca.
We started with breakfast, this food is really not difficult to get for this price so I went for the old reliable breakfast and bought a combo of empanadas. The place where I went is called Café Madeira, here they offer you a combo of 2 empanadas criolla or Chilean + 1 soft drink for the price of 1$, in this case and as you see in the picture I went for the Chilean empanadas option and I can tell you that they are really delicious, they use a delicious cheese and the dough feels super fresh.
Yo personalmente no soy capaz de comerme las 2 empanadas chilenas y el refresco sola, así que con este combo comemos tranquilamente mi hermana y yo y esa es una de las razones por las que siempre escogemos este lugar, sin embargo este lugar tiene una gran desventaja (o por lo menos yo la siento así) y es que si pagas en Bs te cobran el dólar muy por encima de la taza del día, para que se hagan una idea de la diferencia, ese día que fui el $ estaba en 4,12 Bs y en el local lo estaban facturando en 5.00 Bs, a pesar de que es común que algunos locales cobren el dólar un poquito por encima creo que no estoy equivocada cuando digo que esta es una gran diferencia.
I personally am not able to eat the 2 Chilean empanadas and the soda alone, so with this combo my sister and I eat peacefully and that is one of the reasons why we always choose this place, however this place has a big disadvantage (or at least I feel that way) and that is that if you pay in Bs they charge you the dollar well above the cup of the day, to give you an idea of the difference, that day I went the $ was at 4.12 Bs and in the local they were billing it at 5. 00 Bs, although it is common that some locals charge the dollar a little bit higher I think I am not wrong when I say that this is a big difference.
Un par de horas después llega el almuerzo y esta comida me tenía emocionada, hace unos meses descubrimos este lugar llamado Hojani Food, es un tráiler ubicado en un estacionamiento y les aseguro que venden unos perros calientes DIVINOS, su promo es de 2 perros por 1$ y aunque se ven pequeños les garantizo que vienen bien concentrados, además te atienden súper bien y sabemos que esto es también un punto importante a la hora de comer.
A couple of hours later lunch arrives and this food had me excited, a few months ago we discovered this place called Hojani Food, it is a trailer located in a parking lot and I assure you that they sell DIVINE hot dogs, their promo is 2 dogs for 1$ and although they look small I guarantee you that they come well concentrated, also they serve you super well and we know that this is also an important point when eating.
La promo viene sin bebida, así que hay que tener eso en cuenta y además es solo para una persona, pero todo esto se compensa con la calidad y el sabor de la comida que ofrecen, o sea a los perros les agregan hasta maíz y cebolla, no he encontrado a nadie más que les agregue eso a los perros calientes y la verdad es que les da un toque delicioso. Aparte de perros el local también vende chichas y aunque nunca las he probado, si vi un día como preparaban una y se veía riquísima.
The promo comes without drinks, so you have to take that into account and it is only for one person, but all this is compensated by the quality and taste of the food they offer, that is, they even add corn and onion to the dogs, I have not found anyone else that adds that to the hot dogs and the truth is that it gives them a delicious touch. Besides dogs, the place also sells chichas and although I have never tried them, I saw one day how they prepared one and it looked delicious.
Y ahora llego el momento de la cena, y para esta comida si estaba un “preocupada” de no encontrar nada para comer en este precio sobre todo porque no quería repetir la misma comida del almuerzo, de hecho desde que pensé en hacer el reto lo que decidí comer en esta hora eran cachapas, sin embargo esta comida es difícil conseguirla por este precio y que además sean buenas y para ser completamente sincera, yo soy muy exigente con esta comida y eso se debe a que es una de mis favoritas. Aun así, me dispuse a ir a un lugar que abrieron recientemente por mi casa y vaya sorpresa la que me lleve, no solo encontré la cachapa por el precio que la buscaba sino que además estaba RIQUISIMA.
And now it was time for dinner, and for this meal I was a little "worried" about not finding anything to eat at this price, especially because I did not want to repeat the same food from lunch, in fact since I thought about doing the challenge what I decided to eat at this time were cachapas, however this food is difficult to get for this price and they are also good and to be completely honest, I am very picky with this food and that's because it is one of my favorites. Even so, I decided to go to a place that recently opened near my house and what a surprise I got, not only did I find the cachapa for the price I was looking for, but it was also RICH.
La promo es de una cachapa con queso de mano + 1 bebida por el precio de 1$, la bebida es papelón con limón que estaba en el punto perfecto, la masa de la cachapa estaba divina en el punto exacto entre dulce y salado, y el queso era grueso. Como era cerca de mi casa pedí mi comida para llevar y además le compre a mis papás y todos llegamos a la conclusión de que las cachapas estaban buenísimas, así que este día lo cerré con broche de oro.
The promo is a cachapa with hand cheese + 1 drink for the price of 1$, the drink is paprika with lemon that was at the perfect point, the cachapa dough was divine in the exact point between sweet and salty, and the cheese was thick. As it was close to my house I ordered my food to take away and also bought some for my parents and we all concluded that the cachapas were great, so I closed this day with a flourish.
¡Y esto es todo! Me la pase genial haciendo este reto, además de que comí divinamente 🤣🤣 y descubrí un nuevo lugar para comer cachapas deliciosas que como punto extra queda cerca de mi casa, así si un día ando con ganas de comerme una puedo ir caminando tranquilamente.
And that's it! I had a great time doing this challenge, plus I ate divinely 🤣🤣 and I discovered a new place to eat delicious cachapas that as an extra point is close to my house, so if one day I feel like eating one I can go walking quietly.
