3D Scan of The Baba

Yesterday me and my partner went to do a 3D scan for the baby, it was a real spur-of-the-moment kind of thing, but we're glad we did it.

When we first arrived and started the scan at 3:30 he was completely covering his face with his hand, and all we were able to see was his nose.

The woman tried everything, she had my partner stand up and do some breathing exercises to try and wake him up and get him to move his hand. Even drinking a can of coke beforehand didn't seem to make him any more active.

After that didn't work, the woman doing the scan started to poke her belly to try and make him move it. It was actually mad, she was there with the ultrasound camera thing on my partner's stomach, and while poking it we could see him move in real-time.

Then she had my partner stand up and walk around, and even that didn't really make him budge haha, he takes after me in a sense because I'm a really heavy sleeper too.

A bit more prodding and poking didn't work, and in fact, the kid must have gotten annoyed by it, because he then moved his other hand in front of his face, at one point he even stretched his foot up in front of his face too, he really didn't want us to see him.

The woman even made a joke and said, "Hopefully this is a sign that he'll be pretty quiet for you's when he comes along."

After about 45 minutes of all this, the woman just said, how about you two head off for a walk and get something to eat and come back then and see if he's moved his hand. I was glad she said that, I wasn't sure what the story would be, the scan cost about 185 euros, and I didn't know whether or not we'd get a refund or something if we couldn't get a clear picture.

It was really cool though, the scan was something that was on our minds to get, but we wanted to sort everything else out first, and since we have pretty much everything for him, we decided why not.

This is him at 12, 20, and 34 weeks. There is less than 6 weeks to go now until the due date, but we have everything ready for it since he could potentially come along any day now.

I can't wait to meet the little fella, it's going to be amazing being a parent and neither of us can wait.
