Sin embargo, aquí sigo, esta vez para contarles sobre mi regreso a Venezuela.

Aquí estoy yo de nuevo en el aeropuerto, bastante triste porque tenía que abandonar este lindo País, que en solo 5 días me dio más alegrías que todo lo que había hecho en todo el año. Viajar me llena la maleta y sobre todo el alma. Así que estaba más que satisfecha pero triste de regresar de nuevo a la realidad. Es increíble como pega regresar y eso que solo pase un ratito en Colombia.
Here I am again at the airport, quite sad because I had to leave this beautiful country, which in only 5 days gave me more joy than everything I had done all year. Traveling fills my suitcase and above all my soul. So I was more than satisfied but sad to return to reality. It's incredible how hard it is to come back and I only spent a short time in Colombia.
A pesar de que Colombia esta en frontera con Venezuela, las diferencias de tecnología, economía, son bastante notables. En Venezuela tenemos un atraso de más de 20 años y es demasiado triste sabiendo con toda la cantidad de recursos que cuenta Venezuela. Pero ya sabemos cual es realmente el problema después de todo y aquí no vengo a hablarles de eso. Quiero contarles como estuvo mi regreso y lo que tuve que hacer para poder regresarme por el Puente Internacional Simón Bolívar.
Although Colombia is on the border with Venezuela, the differences in technology, economy, are quite remarkable. In Venezuela we have a backwardness of more than 20 years and it is too sad knowing the amount of resources that Venezuela has. But we know what the problem really is after all and I am not here to talk about that. I want to tell you about my return and what I had to do to get back through the Simon Bolivar International Bridge.
Mi vuelo despegaba a las 6:00 AM, es por eso que mi amigo Wilkins y yo decidimos contratar un taxista que nos buscará en el hostal a eso de las 4:00 A.M para estar unas horas antes en el aeropuerto y realizar nuestro check in, contando que de Medellín al aeropuerto se demora en llegar en taxi alrededor de 40 minutos a 30 minutos si hay trafico, sino es mucho menos. Pero a esa hora demoramos 20 minutos.
My flight was taking off at 6:00 AM, that's why my friend Wilkins and I decided to hire a cab driver to pick us up at the hostel at about 4:00 AM to be a few hours earlier at the airport and make our check in, counting that from Medellin to the airport it takes about 40 minutes to 30 minutes by cab if there is traffic, otherwise it is much less. But at that time it took us 20 minutes.
Llegamos sin ningún contratiempo y realizamos todo el procedimiento para ingresar a la sala de espera, allí solo quedaba esperar hasta que llegara nuestro turno de abordar. Sin embargo, salí del hostal sin desayunar y al llegar al aeropuerto ya me provocaba comer, se me había abierto el apetito, lo que más me hacía falta era tomar café, así que le dije a mi amigo que no podíamos irnos de Colombia sin tomar uno en Juan Valdez, ya que este es el mejor café de Colombia. Así que yo ordene un cappuccino con leche deslactosada, mi amigo un Latte y juntos nos comimos un pastel de pollo y champiñones. Todo muy delicioso.
We arrived without any setback and we went through the whole procedure to enter the waiting room, there we only had to wait until it was our turn to board. However, I left the hostel without having breakfast and when I arrived at the airport I was already feeling hungry, I had worked up an appetite, what I needed the most was coffee, so I told my friend that we could not leave Colombia without having one at Juan Valdez, since this is the best coffee in Colombia. So I ordered a cappuccino with lactose free milk, my friend a Latte and together we had a chicken and mushroom pie. All very delicious.
Luego nos fuimos de nuevo a la sala de espera, a hablar mientras llegaba nuestro avión. La verdad es que el tiempo se paso volando, no estuvimos mucho tiempo allí cuando mucho 10 minutos y ya teníamos que ir a la puerta 9 de abordaje, nuestro avión con destino a Cúcuta, en 1 hora y un varios minutos ya estaríamos en Venezuela.
Then we went back to the waiting room, to talk while our plane was arriving. The truth is that the time flew by, we were not there for long, at most 10 minutes and we had to go to gate 9, our plane to Cucuta, in 1 hour and a few minutes we would be in Venezuela.
Abordarnos el avión y nos colocamos cómodos. Ya era momento de despegar, yo me sentía nerviosa porque era mi segundo vuelo en avión, pero estaba super contenta porque esta Aerolínea es puntual y además sus aviones son cómodos. Las aeromozas dieron sus indicaciones y finalmente despegamos. Fue un vuelo tranquilo y con un excelente piloto, no sentí nada, luego de minutos me tranquilice.
We boarded the plane and got comfortable. It was time to take off, I was nervous because it was my second flight on a plane, but I was very happy because this airline is punctual and their planes are comfortable. The flight attendants gave their instructions and finally we took off. It was a quiet flight and with an excellent pilot, I didn't feel anything, after a few minutes I calmed down.
Estuve todo el vuelo observando desde la ventanilla, las nubes, el sol y las montañas justo antes de llegar. Mi amigo si se había quedado dormido en todo el camino, ya que este no había descansado bien. Ir a Medellín fue una excelente experiencia. Siento que me hicieron falta más días para conocer la ciudad de la Eterna Primavera. Sin embargo, como dice el título de mi publicación, espero verte pronto Medellín.
I spent the whole flight watching from the window, the clouds, the sun and the mountains just before arriving. My friend had fallen asleep all the way, as he had not rested well. Going to Medellin was an excellent experience. I feel that I needed more days to get to know the city of the Eternal Spring. However, as the title of my post says, I hope to see you soon Medellín.
Llegamos al Aeropuerto Internacional Camilo Daza en Cúcuta y de inmediato tomamos un taxi al centro de Cúcuta, allí tendríamos que comprar algunos encargos y algunas cosas que salen mucho más económicas que en Venezuela. Luego de comprar, nos fuimos a la Parada, yo tenía que hacer el check in y sellar mi pasaporte para salir de Colombia. Mi amigo y yo decidimos regresar a Venezuela por el puente, ya que mi amigo se había vacunado en Colombia y se sentía con malestar.
We arrived at the Camilo Daza International Airport in Cúcuta and immediately took a cab to downtown Cúcuta, there we had to buy some groceries and some things that are much cheaper than in Venezuela. After shopping, we went to the Parada, I had to check in and stamp my passport to leave Colombia. My friend and I decided to return to Venezuela by the bridge, since my friend had been vaccinated in Colombia and felt sick.
Así que luego de cumplir con mi proceso migratorio, nos regresamos por el puente, pero las autoridades Venezolanas no nos querían dejar pasar, porque solo estaba permitido el paso de personas con informes medidos, ancianos, y estudiantes venezolanos que estudiaran en Colombia. No obstante, estuvimos media hora en el sol y cuando hubo el cambio de turno de las autoridades, las siguientes nos dejaron pasar, porque mi amigo se sentía muy mal por efecto de la vacuna. Ya estábamos en tierras venezolanas, allí nos sentimos más seguros y aquí nos busco el taxi que habíamos contratado una noche anterior.
So after completing my immigration process, we returned across the bridge, but the Venezuelan authorities did not want to let us pass, because only people with measured reports, the elderly, and Venezuelan students studying in Colombia were allowed to pass. However, we were half an hour in the sun and when the authorities changed shifts, the next ones let us pass, because my friend felt very bad because of the vaccine. We were already in Venezuelan lands, there we felt safer and here I looked for the cab we had hired the night before.
Desayune una merengada de fresa y un sándwich. Y luego nos colocamos en marcha hacía San Cristóbal, la ciudad de la Cordialidad, a nuestro hogar dulce hogar. I had a strawberry merengada and a sandwich for breakfast. And then we set off for San Cristobal, the city of Cordiality, to our home sweet home. That was all for today, and all for my trip.
