En primer lugar y la menos mala de las dos: Boys from County Hell. Luego hablaré un poco sobre Mind Talker, una fue terriblemente mala. > Hello my dear Hivers! I hope you all are okay. El irlandés Chris Baugh es el director y escritor de Boys from County Hell, una película de horror y comedia que nos sitúa en Irlanda del Norte, en el pueblo llamado Six Mile Hill, donde sus residentes viven atemorizados por la leyenda de un demonio chupasangre atrapado en el suelo bajo una pila de rocas que lo mantienen sellado. Un grupo de fontaneros, liderados por un padre y su hijo, tienen la labor de construir una carretera y derriban la pila de rocas y así despiertan la maldición temida por el pueblo.

Irish Chris Baugh is the director and writer of Boys from County Hell, a horror and comedy film that places us in Northern Ireland, in the town called Six Mile Hill, where its residents live in fear of the legend of a trapped bloodsucking demon on the ground under a pile of rocks that keep it sealed. La película muestra unos paisajes hermosos, laderas y montañas tan verdes como nunca he visto en persona. Los actores principales son todos desconocidos para mí, dentro de los cuales tenemos a Jack Rowan interpretando a Eugene, un joven endeudado que ha perdido a su madre y vive en su casa bastante deteriorada con la esperanza de arreglarla. Nigel O'Neill interpreta a Francie, el padre de Eugene y se podría decir que la persona más odiada en el pueblo. Lousia Harland como Claire y Michael Hough como SP McCauley completan el equipo de constructores destinados a detener la amenaza que ellos mismos crearon despertando Abhartach, el demonio chupasangre.

The film shows beautiful landscapes, slopes and mountains as green as I have never seen in person. The main actors are all unknown to me, among which we have Jack Rowan playing Eugene, a young man in debt who has lost his mother and lives in his house quite run down in the hope of fixing it. Nigel O'Neill plays Francie, Eugene's father and arguably the most hated person in town. Lousia Harland as Claire and Michael Hough as SP McCauley complete the team of builders destined to stop the threat they created by awakening Abhartach, the bloodsucking demon.

Las actuaciones estuvieron ok, nada sobresaliente en el cast pero tampoco fueron malas. Hubo sangre, algunas muertes, pero situaciones graciosas no faltaron a lo largo del film. Más que al horror, esta película está orientada es hacia la comedia y lo hacen bastante bien, con chistes a veces un poco oscuros, sustos entre los mismos personajes y situaciones un tanto absurdas pero graciosas.

The performances were ok, nothing outstanding in the cast but they weren't bad either. There was blood, some deaths, but funny situations were not lacking throughout the film. More than horror, this film is oriented towards comedy and they do it quite well, with sometimes a little dark jokes, scares between the same characters and somewhat absurd but funny situations.

La película dura una hora con treinta minutos, aproximadamente, y hay momentos en los que se siente un poco pesada y aburrida pero la vi completa y las risas que regala hacen que no sea un desperdicio de tiempo verla. No es la gran cosa; si la van a ver no lleven muchas expectativas y tengan la mente abierta para encontrarse con situaciones algo desconcertantes y absurdas que le dan un toque chévere a la película. Esto no quiere decir que sea una recomendación, porque con honestidad me pareció mala, pero tampoco como para calificarla como "eviten verla".

The film lasts an hour and thirty minutes, approximately, and there are moments when it feels a bit heavy and boring but I saw it in its entirety and the laughs that it gives make it not a waste of time to watch it. It's not a big deal; If you are going to see it, do not carry high expectations and have an open mind to find situations that are somewhat disconcerting and absurd that give the film a cool touch. This does not mean that it is a recommendation, because I honestly thought it was bad, but not enough to qualify it as "avoid seeing it."

Una mala película con momentos chistosos y muy poco horror, pero que nos muestra actuaciones algo interesantes y paisajes muy bonitos. Si la quieren ver, háganlo bajo su propia responsabilidad y no me digan luego que no les gustó y que les recomendé algo malo, porque como dije antes, no es una recomendación jajaja. Ah, los efectos audiovisuales de los "vampiros" y su comportamiento también le aportan un poco de humor a la película.

A bad movie with funny moments and very little horror, but it shows us somewhat interesting performances and very beautiful landscapes. If you want to see it, do it at your own risk and do not tell me later that you did not like it and that I recommended something bad, because as I said before, it is not a recommendation hahaha. Ah, the audiovisual effects of the "vampires" and their behavior also add a bit of humor to the film.

Despierta en el hospital y, en el proceso de recuperación, descubre que el golpe le despertó la telepatía, ya que podía entrar en la mente de otras personas y conversar con ellas aún estando físicamente en el hospital o en su casa.

La producción se nota que es de muy bajo presupuesto, ya que no tiene una calidad audiovisual tan buena como por ejemplo, Boys from County Hell. Hay momentos en los que se nota mucho el montaje que hicieron y hace que la película se sienta como un ensayo que hizo el director "para ver qué le salía". Les dejo dos escenas en las cuales me dio mucha risa como se vio (lamento los subtítulos, pero no podía dejar de ponerlos)

The production shows that it is very low budget, since it does not have an audiovisual quality as good as, for example, Boys from County Hell. There are moments when the editing they did is very noticeable and it makes the film feel like a rehearsal that the director did "to see what would come of it." Here are two scenes in which I got a lot of laugh as you saw (I'm sorry about the subtitles, but I couldn't stop putting them on)

Las actuaciones podría decirse que es lo más que se destaca en la producción, ya que todos hicieron bien su trabajo. Taylor Jed Martin interpreta al Det. Ben; Jason Danial Lawrence es el Dr. Bryce; Joe Echegaray interpreta al antagonista principal de la película George Mancini; y Alaura Devereaux como Nova Spencer.

En cuanto a la historia, es algo interesante pero lo manejan muy mal. Hay situaciones con un personaje con la que Ben se comunica telepáticamente, que parecieran sacadas de una película porno por los diálogos e insinuaciones (claro, supongo que era el fin del director) pero era muy forzado y no le agregaba nada a la historia.

There are situations with a character with whom Ben communicates telepathically, which seemed taken out of a porn movie because of the dialogue and innuendo (of course, I suppose it was the end of the director) but it was very forced and did not add anything to the story.

Si hacemos la vista gorda de todo lo malo que tiene la película, nos vamos a encontrar con un final absurdo, que desentona por completo de la historia y que nos deja totalmente desorientados. Es una película extremadamente mala y aburrida, no tiene nada que ofrecer y es una pérdida de tiempo verla.

If we turn a blind eye to everything bad said about the film, we are going to find an absurd ending, which is completely out of step with the story and leaves us totally disoriented. In short, it is an extremely bad and boring movie, it has nothing to offer and is a total waste of time to watch.

### 🗣 Comentarios finales/Final comments 🗣

No la vean. Es de lo peor que he visto este año, no tiene ni pies ni cabeza. Ahora, si quieren desperdiciar una hora y cuarenta minutos de su vida, adelante; solo quiero ahorrarles el mal rato que pasé ayer al encontrarme con esta locura de película. Ojalá pudiera "desverla", así me sentiría un poco mejor.

Don't see it. It is the worst I have seen this year, it has neither head nor tail. Now, if you want to waste an hour and forty minutes of your life, go ahead; I just want to save you the bad time I had yesterday when I came across this crazy movie. I wish I could "unwatch" it, so I would feel a little better.
