Me gustaría disculparme ante toda la audiencia por la ausencia de mi parte en esta hermosa comunidad. Debo aclarar que ahora cuento con muy poco tiempo para realizar publicaciones, ya que actualmente estudio y trabajo y esto consume casi todo mi tiempo, aunque esto no hará que abandone esta maravillosa plataforma. A continuación compartiré una reseña sobre la situación que ha golpeado tan fuerte al mundo.

A finales del año 2019, el mundo prendió las alarmas con la llegada de un nuevo virus que hasta el momento el hombre no conocía muy bien, Este nuevo virus preocupaba a las autoridades del país chino más específicamente en la ciudad de Wuhan. Un par de meses más tarde la OMS (Organización Mundial de la Salud) Nombro oficialmente este virus como COVID-19.
Luego de que el virus se expandiera rápidamente por el mundo entero, la OMS declaro la emergencia sanitaria como un Pandemia. En varios países del mundo sus dirigentes empezaron a imponer cuarentenas obligatorias en sus territorios, para evitar así la propagación del virus y a su vez lograr que no colapsaran sus sistemas de salud.

En Colombia, el presidente Iván Duque declaro una cuarentena obligatoria en todo el territorio nacional, esta medida inicio el 24 de marzo de 2020 y seria hasta el 19 de mayo del mismo año, esta medida con el pasar de los días, semanas e incluso meses se ha ido prolongando para evitar el colapso en la red hospitalaria del país. Pero mi pregunta es la siguiente ¿Estábamos preparados para un evento tan poco común como un confinamiento?.

Como respuesta a esta pregunta puedo decir que tal vez unas personas, o mejor dicho los que tenían y tiene grandes recursos monetarios acumulados en sus cuentas bancarias, tal vez esta situación no les ha afectado mucho ya que han podido cumplir la medida sin ningún tipo de preocupación económica. En otras situaciones muchas personas contaron con la ventaja de que en sus trabajos, se tomara la decisión de teletrabajar, en cierta manera siguen recibiendo su sueldo y a estas personas tampoco las ha afectado mucho esta crisis.
Por otro lado, pongámonos a pensar en las personas de bajos recursos y a los que por varios motivos no han podido seguir laborando, hasta incluso los que han perdido sus empleos por la crisis, también hay muchas personas que viven del día a día, es decir trabajan en las calles buscando el sustento para llevar a sus hogares. Para estas personas el gobierno pensó en dar subsidios de alivio para sobrellevar esta crisis, pero en realidad muchas personas nunca recibieron esa ayuda y tras llevar varios días sobreviviendo confinados, se les agotaron los pocos recursos con los que contaban y tuvieron que salir de nuevo a las calles a conseguir dinero para sus necesidades, con el miedo de contagiarse del virus e infectar todas sus familias.

On the other hand, let's start thinking about low-income people and those who for various reasons have not been able to continue working, even those who have lost their jobs due to the crisis, there are also many people who live from day to day, that is, they work in the streets looking for sustenance to take home. For these people the government thought of giving relief subsidies to cope with this crisis, but in reality many people never received that help and after having survived for several days in confinement, the few resources they had were exhausted and they had to go out again. the streets to get money for their needs, in fear of catching the virus and infecting all their families.

Entonces este es el momento para dar respuesta a la pregunta planteada anteriormente. ¿Estábamos preparados para un evento tan poco común como un confinamiento?, en este caso la respuesta será netamente subjetiva. Personalmente creo que esta crisis me dio a conocer, que realmente nuestro país nunca estuvo preparado para una contingencia de este tipo, por el contrario nuestros gobernantes en vez de colaborarle a las personas mas desprotegidas ha preferido dar ayuda a las grandes empresas para que no entren en quiebra, cabe mencionar que algunas personas si han recibido la ayuda de los subsidios, pero si nos ponemos a revisar esos subsidio no son suficientes para cumplir con las necesidades básicas de estos hogares. En conclusión, creo que esto fue un golpe duro para este gobierno y espero se tomen medidas para que una próxima crisis como esta no nos tome fuera de base.
