Rice is one of the oldest and most commonly known food crop, it has actually been in existence since ancient time.
It could be eaten as it is or can be used to make other forms of food and cake.
Highly rich in carbohydrate and very few crops can actually beat its carbohydrate level as it is known to be purely starch.
Method of planting
The method used in growing rice slightly vary from place to place as the land typography and structure is mainly put into consideration.
In some parts of Nigeria planting begin in the first week of may until mid July.
We different kinds and species of rice majorly based on the size of their seed and the planting time together with the time it takes for them to mature.
The type of rice I have actually has an interval of 6months between planting and harvesting period.
Rice require water to yield better harvest so I have to work with the weather to get better yield.
