Porque perfectamente pudo darse el caso que aquellos pioneros, sin darse cuenta, hayan seguido un camino lleno de baches y obstáculos. A lo mejor nunca supieron que estaban siguiendo la ruta más difícil. Pero la fuerza de la costumbre es poderosa y nos impulsa a repetir las cosas una y otra vez, sin siquiera preguntarnos si puede haber otra alternativa. Es lo que llamamos actuar siguiendo el sentido común, un modo de acción completamente inconsciente.
La normalización de las conductas, creencias y costumbres son necesarias en cualquier grupo humano, es la consecuencia lógica de tener una vida social. Logran caer en cuenta que las cosas no van bien, que las rutinas los agobian, que necesitan introducir cambios, hacer las cosas de otro modo. Se convencen que merecen mayor plenitud en sus vidas.
Estos últimos tienen en sus fibras la madera de los exploradores. Son ellos los que deciden dejar de lado el camino marcado de huellas para aventurarse en territorio desconocido.
