Saludos cordiales, en vista de la cercanía de las fiestas decembrina hoy me complace unirme a la iniciativa creada por @carmenmc que lleva por título "Mis cosas favoritas de la época decembrina" una de las iniciativa hermosa ya que la Navidad es época de reconciliación y celebración y recordemos que en esta fecha celebramos un acontecimiento muy importante cómo lo es la Natividad de nuestro señor Jesús.
Warm greetings, in view of the approaching Christmas holidays today I am pleased to join the initiative created by @carmenmc which is entitled "My favorite things of the holiday season" one of the beautiful initiative because Christmas is a time of reconciliation and celebration and remember that on this date we celebrate a very important event how is the Nativity of our Lord Jesus.

Es hermoso ver todas las calles y negocios decorados con motivos navideños y la alegría de escuchar por todos lados las gaitas por eso es que esta época además de ser alegre también es un poco nostálgica por no tener a todos nuestros familiares juntos, en fin son muchas las cosas que me gustan pero sólo les voy a mencionar mis tres preferidas.
It is beautiful to see all the streets and businesses decorated with Christmas decorations and the joy of hearing the bagpipes everywhere, that's why this season besides being joyful is also a little nostalgic for not having all our relatives together, in short there are many things that I like but I will only mention my three favorites.
Decoración del Arbolito /Decoration of the Arbolito:
La primera cosa que siempre me ha gustado de esta fecha es la decoración del arbolito de Navidad ya que uno tiene que escoger con detenimiento desde los adornos hasta las luces, mis hermanas y yo nos encargamos de esa compra mientras mi otra hermana lleva a cabo la decoración y luego ver con satisfacción el resultado final un hermoso árbol de navidad.
The first thing I have always liked about this date is the decoration of the Christmas tree since one has to choose carefully from the ornaments to the lights, my sisters and I are in charge of that purchase while my other sister carries out the decoration and then see with satisfaction the final result of a beautiful Christmas tree.
La cena navideña/Christmas dinner:
Otra de las cosas que disfruto mucho en esta fiesta decembrina es la cena navideña el compartir con mi familia de estos platos tradicionales exclusivo en ésta época del año como lo son: las hallacas, pan jamón ensalada de gallina, pernil y dulces , en fin una gama de sabores y colores, pero siempre decimos que de no contar con estos deliciosos platos lo más importantes de esta época es el compartir y la unión familiar.
Another of the things that I enjoy a lot during this holiday season is the Christmas dinner, sharing with my family these exclusive traditional dishes at this time of the year such as: hallacas, pan jamón, chicken salad, pernil and sweets, in short a range of flavors and colors, but we always say that if we do not have these delicious dishes the most important thing of this time is the sharing and family togetherness.
Despedida del viejo Año y recibimiento del nuevo Año/ Farewell to the old year and welcome the new year:
Está tradición familiar me gusta mucho nosotros la adoptamos por costumbre, en casa prendemos la radio cuando faltan como un cuarto para las 12 siempre colocan canciones de La Billo's y Melódicos dos orquestas que nunca pasarán de moda, luego anuncian La despedida del año viejo, primero escuchamos el poema de las uvas del tiempo del poeta Andrés Eloy blanco, y luego colocan la Popular canción de Néstor Zavarce, Faltan 5 pa las 12, el año va a terminar, y luego empezamos el reconteo en voz alta todos juntos 5,4,3,2,1, FELIZ AÑO VENEZUELA, eso es muy emocionante y que decir de los abrazos entre familiares y amigos y otra que se me había olvidado mencionar una cucharada de lentejas para familiares y amigos que mi hermana mayor nunca deja de pasar según ella significa abundancia.

En fin hay muchas cosas muy lindas en esta época decembrina desde calles y casas decoradas, las gaitas, el pesebre del niño Jesús y ver como los niños disfrutan de abrir los regalos y luego salir al día siguiente a disfrutarlo eso es muy hermoso. Yo elegí sólo tres espero les guste y hasta la próxima publicación.
Anyway there are many beautiful things in this Christmas season from decorated streets and houses, the bagpipes, the manger of the baby Jesus and see how the children enjoy opening the gifts and then go out the next day to enjoy it that is very beautiful.
