Today is our dear @manujune's birthday. She had made some plans since last year, but things got complicated by the pandemia, so we had to cancel all party plans. We had a humble meeting with two of her friends.

I decided to honor her with a poetic composition. A girl as talented as her deserves at least an attempt at a classic genre. So here's my sonnet to my dear daughter.

April Has its @June

Be fooled not by the non-eventful twelfth,
Be not the butt of an April fool’s prank;
Unless you’ve accrued enough crypto wealth
To laugh at those with money in the bank.

This angel came with April’s sweet showers
The month of oranges, apples and pears.
Anticipating May’s gorgeous flowers;
Blessed with the talents hidden in elves’ lairs.

She came to this world to bring joy and bliss,
To paint life shining amid dark and gloom;
Forget civil wars and what was amiss
Her smile and her voice will make the earth bloom.

Not a good artist had sung April’s tune;
Let’s now celebrate April has its @June.
