The Coup
Myanmar, also known as Burma, is in South East Asia. It neighbours Thailand, Laos, Bangladesh, China and India.
It has a population of about 54 million, most of whom are Burmese speakers, although other languages are also spoken. The biggest city is Yangon (Rangoon), but the capital is Nay Pyi Taw.
The military known as Tatmadaw seized control on 1 February 2021 following a general election which Aung San Suu Kyi's NLD party won by a landslide, claiming widespread fraud.
The election commission said there was no evidence to support these claims and international organizations considered a fair and successful election.

What has happened since the coup?
The coup was opposed with all forms of non-violence means such Civil Disobedience Movements (CDM) and mass protests from civil service sector as well as general public.
The military and police cracked them down with live rounds, water cannons and rubber bullets, arbitrary arrests, touters. Owning sling-shots even protesting poster, posting on social media can put you to jail and be sentenced for treason.
The brutal crack-down forced mostly young people to flea to Ethnic Resistant Organization (ERO/EAO) control areas and get the military trainings, while some just resist with whatever arms they have and find ways to produce makeshift guns and IEDs. Local population and Burmese people around the world are helping arm revolution against this terrible junta who the USA recently declared junta's mass killing of the Rohingya Muslim population to be a “genocide”.
This auction is one of the instants that Burmese people around the world are working together to restore democracy and freedom in Burma(Myanmar).
